Kenny Alvira Trial Will Go As Scheduled

The trial against Kenny Alvira is going to trial on Monday, the 6th. The Defense Motion To Postpone has been denied.

Because of Maryland's Death Penalty statute, Alvira is not Death Penalty eligible because he's only 16. Under Maryland law, the State may not seek the death penalty for anyone under the age of 18.

Don't miss the show Folks, this is a big case and I expect to see this guy go away for the rest of his life.

  3. This is one of Anitra Pirkle's killers. Killing random people for sport on an evening's fun. These are Bloods gang members. I know for a fact. This is where we send a message, people.

  7. He would have to be waived from juvi to adult, to stand trial as an adult. That makes it his first adult offense, no record. Its a process, it sucks but a process just the same. Me I would give him to the family if found guilty. I think they would know what to do with him.

  8. He cannot get the death penalty at his age.

  9. Juvi life is til your 21.

  10. He can get Natural life without parole and sent over to Jessup. The same as they gave that girl Tanya down in Fruitland in the murder of George Taylor. She was 15 at the time.

  11. I didn't think the State of Maryland even had the death penalty.

  12. please tell me this filth will never walk the streets again. I was a 55 year old man who never heard of this dear child when I heard of her death. I sat there and cried.

  14. What time does the trial start in circuit court?

  15. I hope they all rot.

And currently "Maryland" has suspended the death penalty for now, until "as a result of a court case until the procedures used to perform the execution are approved using the process required by state law."

Um, I think they are trying to work out the 'cruel and unusal punishment' angle...and we ELECT these fools.

Um, give them the needle, they go to SLEEP first, no pain. If only most of us could pass on so painlessly. Ask any terminally ill patient.

Good people suffer horribly to die, while criminals face such 'comfort' in death.

And ya'll wonder what is wrong with humanity? It's US! Or whoever is in charge, we don't make any sense at all.

  16. He is automatically waived to adult status for murder. no if's and's or butt's. the defense has to ask the court to waive him back to juvi court. which in a murder trial, aint gonna happen. he is being tried as an adult and will be sentenced the same. that is fact!

  17. So many rules and laws to protect criminals..This is why they commit these crimes because they have no fear of any consequences..Hey!!if we commit a crime and kill someone and get caught they cant give us the death penalty because "we're only teenagers".I say if you're big enough and bad enough to commit a crime like an adult you should be punished like an adult...I bet if they start giving some of there parents the death penalty in there stead they would start knowing what these kids are up to and where they are..I cant stop reliving the fear and terror and torcher that poor child experienced in her final hours of life..My God!! who's next people..

  18. I hope he has Judge Davis (in a bad mood). I bet he pleads jury trial and it will be sent to Circuit Court in @ a year when they can schedule it.

  20. I'm sure they will appeal the fact that one of the troopers didn't read him his rights soon enough all the way to the highest court. I have a friend who is a defense lawyer and she has told me that 9 times out of 10, she gets her clients off due to mistakes by the police.

Don't forget that this poor girl had to crawl mortally wounded across a frozen field to get help. In her final moments, she was able to describe her murders to the police. Anitra is a hero who died a terrible death way before her time. These three slugs who killed her deserve to live a terrible existence for the rest of their lives in jail with no possibility of parole. The public needs to show up and show that we are tired of this and we demand swift, strict justice. 16 year olds know the difference between right and wrong regardless of how tough their life has been.
