  1. Expect Virgil Shockley to one again demand that the SHA build a grade separated interchange at that intersection.

These deaths would decree significantly if people treated this intersection as if it had a signal controlled left turn.

The SHA has made matters worse by installing the extra signage and pavement markings.

  3. 11:22,

It's a little too quick to judge when you don't know any details. There could have been a medical reason behind why it happened. Imagine if this was your family member, would you want people saying this about them?

God be with his family and friends during this trying time.

  4. To 11:22 A.M.- There is not a traffic light at that intersection. A dual highway has nothing to do with people crossing over that dual highway. I take it that 11:22 has never tried to get across that intersection. It does not matter how cautious of a driver you may be, it is the other drivers that you have to watch out for, particularly the ones taht are not familiar with the intersection.

  5. Why dont people just slow down and drive.
The only reason there are accidents is driver error.
No , just a few mechanical and few medical.
Most people just dont pay attention.
A lot of people need to learn how to drive, the little ole test the state gives you for your license does not mean you can drive, that is just to get your money.
Take a real driving course .
Now go ahead and cost the taxpayers more money, wont bring no one back and will do little to help.
In other words , pay attention.

  6. How about everyone just keep their mouths shut until details emerge on the cause of this accident? The important to thing to discuss is that a good local man with a family has lost his life - not traffic signals and dual highways. I seriously question your morality and your priorities.

The accident happened where the dual highway ends and where two way traffic begins. Also, this was not at an intersection so don't just talk to talk.

  9. The victim is Buddy Glogovics of Buddy's Electronics in Pocomoke. The accident was not at the intersection but about 2 miles away in the single lane portion of US Route 113...

A completely dualized US Rt 113 can't come soon enough.

And to above people there is not a traffic light at any intersection on Rt 113 near Snow Hill, just flashing lights.
