Today a friend of mine reminded me of a Post we put up years ago that showed just how out of control things were back then.
He asked, do you think things are any better today. Well, the fact that there were criminals spray painting entire buildings for weeks on end with Graffiti and NO ONE was ever caught should tell you a lot about Chief Webster's leadership.
At the time, Mayor Tilghman and Chief Webster were telling the public there were NO GANGS in Salisbury, remember that Folks.
The Daily Times absolutely REFUSED to put ANY pictures in their Newspaper because the former Mayor probably had too much control over what they could and couldn't do/produce, so they provided nothing.
This Post, (one of many) clearly shows just how desperately Salisbury needed Salisbury News. Everything was being covered up and the Daily Times played the biggest role in doing so.
Take one quick look at just one of the Posts we put up and you tell me why the Daily Times would refuse to expose such criminal activity. I can recall their putting up one small photo, one in by one inch in size.
Come to think of it, I'll bet most of you never even saw these Posts, since we've grown so much since them. Go take a look. Another Webster COLD CASE/CASES.

Maybe you need to start roaming the streets agian and shaming people into action. Overflowing dumpsters, Grafitti, falling down buildings, unkept yards. This town is a mess.
ReplyDeleteThat would be easy, all you have to do is ride around this area and everything is a wreck. Look at the bushes overgrowing into the road right by district court/state building. So the state, county and city guys never ride by it??????
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteyou know we have a new Mayor and I have not heard one word let alone action to really try and clean up things or to get rid of Webster!
I think it's time for him to pee or get off the pot.
All our new mare wants to do is photo ops so he can look pretty to his friends in RB. What a waste of a good vote.
ReplyDeleteYup, the lights are on but nobody is home at the GOB
ReplyDeleteI am extremely disappointed in being fooled again by a lying politician. This is the second time that I walked door to door and took off work to help someone get elected only to find out they weren't who they said they were. All Ireton and Smith has done is lie to the voters just to get elected. This guy and his friends new we were at an all time low with moral in this city and we were desperate for help. He got us when we were down and almost out and took advantage of us. I am ready to take off work and walk door to door again, this time for a recall. Yes Mr. Ireton it can be done. Mr. Ireton you need to publicly offer us an apology.
ReplyDeleteYou folks should have looked into why Ireton had left us in Worcester County.
ReplyDeleteWe need to move into a county run system and abolish the city charter. It's hard enough to campaign and keep up with one group of misfits let alone two.
ReplyDeleteOne body of government would be easier to keep an eye on.
Voting to abolish the city charter would take out Wilbur, Webster, Oland, Pick, Chambers, Bubba, Louweasal and Shanie in one swoop.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine a county council consisting of Prettyman, Barkovich, Campbell and Cohen?
Mike Lewis in charge of law enforcement? I kind of like the sounds of those options even more now.
There is more than one way to skin a cat.
seems to me we began a sharp rise in criminal activity right after Katrina.
