HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!!!!!!

I was just at Sam's Club yesterday and gas was $2.34 a gallon. The new Royal Farms last night on Rt. 50 was $2.39 and when I came to this Valero I knew everyone else would be jumping their prices by this morning because they're usually one of the lowest prices around.

Tighten your belts again Folks because the Obamanomics are about to slap you in the face once again, just like Bush did to us. You wanted Change, YOU GOT IT! NOT!

Hey dummy...Its not your local retailer. You need to go way further up the food chain.

  3. whoa whoa whoa...If you listen to the news and read a bit you would know that the national gas price average is expected to only reach $2.80 this year for regular. To compare this administration's actions to Bush's is obserd. Under the Bush administration, fuel prices went upwards to $4.60!

To all of you Republicans out there complaining about this, you can thank your good ole leader GW! Because of him, we have a national debt that we are trying to recover from. Call it Obama's fault too, but if it weren't for Bush's idiot actions then Obama would not have to be pulling these strings (and incurring more debt) to get us out AND if Bush made better decisions during his terms then maybe the Republican party would have had enough faith from the people to get McCain the support he needed to get elected! It is because of Bush that our dollar is so weak right now and since our dollar is so weak and we depend on foreign oil trade (Again because of Bush) these Countries are beginning to clue in to the fact that they can get away with inflating the cost per barrel of crued oil...

While I agree with you on alot of topics on your blog, I have to disagree here. To blame this on the administration is obserd, Joe. You know as well as anybody else that this fuel market is driven by supply, demand and the over all economy which determines inflation or deflation of costs. Very little of the day to day cost changes are controlled by politics.

And to ANON 7:58 AM, if you want to start boycotting, I suggest that you start on the private side first. Exxon pulled in $48 BILLION in profits in 2008. So while your pockets and nearly everybody's in the Country were suffering from gas prices and the overall bad economy, these guys are raking in some serious cash. Please keep in mind that the $48 BILLION (that's 9 zeros folks!!) was PROFIT-the bills were paid, the taxes were paid, the payrole was paid...In 2008 They actually set a record for highest quarterly and annual profits ever for a U.S. company!

How the hell is this economy going to turn around when this continues to happen. This was the start of the last collapse. Are we going to turn this economy around or destroy what little people have left. For crying out loud WHERE THE HELL IS THE CHANGE??????????Everything keeps skyrocketing except peoples salary. Enough already

  5. To blame Obama for gas prices is just stupid.

  6. 9:05 You seem to be one intelligent person who sees facts not bs. Bush started all this by trying to make up for Saddam attempting to do in his dad or whatever. What happened to "Mark my words, we will get Bin Laden" Guess Goofy thought Bin Laden was in hiding with Saddam. For God's sake, folks, lets give our Commander-in-Chief a chance. After all he has one hell of a mess to clean up. If after a couple years or so, nothing has changed I may join the critics, but for now, lets give him the opportunity to clean up Bush's mess.

  7. I buy my gas at the Shell station near the now closed Boaters World on Thursdays because he advertises ".05 cents off all gas on Thursdays!" Last week we had to wait in line...I guess I'm not the only one that reads banners

  8. Good on you, Jack Richards.

It is just plain stupid to think that "Obamanomics" have anything to do with the gas prices, which always rise in the summer, d'oh!

Economic ripples take time to take effect.

I have some concerns about Obama, but yes, he has a HUGE mess to clean up. Just like Jim Ireton does.

  9. Thanks Obama you said you were the man for the job so far you have done nothing not even created one job.

  10. This is the normal summer price raise. Geeze, can you find something to not blame on Obama?

  11. Hate Hate Hate... You guys will continue to hate until Obama's hot tub is cold. Bush, an oil man, oversaw the astronomical rise in gas prices. And gasoline prices always rise during the Summer. It doesnt take a weatherman to forecast that.

  12. I'm not particularly an Obama fan, but the rising cost of oil and gas aren't his fault. Hell, even OPEC isn't doing anything to drive the price of oil up. You can thank the speculators and hedge funds for that.

  13. Come on folks. The culprits are the market movers who bid up the futures prices of products which they never touch. Not only do they not touch the products / commodities, but they don't have any storage capacity! They simply bid up prices and make money off regular stuff we use everyday. There is no relation between the supply and demand of gasoline with retail prices. It does not exist. I think commodities manipulation is criminal. Our government endorses it. The people who control our government officials also endorse it.
