What till Obama's Cap and Trade policy causes their utilities to double and the house ends up in foreclosure. Is it not great how the democrat party is always out for the working man!
Cap and Trade will be a disaster. That aside, hats off to Habitat. They are doing a really fine job on Martin St. In addition to this "green" home they are restoring a great bungalow across the street and are attracting some nice new homeowners. Chris Barnes and his team are real movers and shakers. Congratulations to all!
Habitat is a positive program but the entire neighborhood needs work. Its good that a deserving family now has a home of their own but what good does it do if their kids cannot go out and play in their own yard safely? And I do agree with 10:30am,nobody cares about the working people anymore, there are two different societies and we worker bees are on our own.Its going to get alot worse too.
What 10:30 meant was there is a house of ill repute operating at the end of the street. Wonder if the landlord knows what their house is being used for. does that make them subject to arrest as well for operating such a house?
Just wanted to interject that Habitat recipients do not get their house free and clear like some may think. They have to put in a certain number of hours of labor into the construction and they have to pay the mortgage. They have pretty strict guidelines.
i suppose the people that get those homes should go live out on the street with there children... im sorry but sometimes people need help working or not and you all are being rude for automaticly assuming they are bad people because people in the community with a HEART made it possible for a family to have a nice house to come home to that they can call there home... what if you were in a situation like that i would hope someone would have a heart enough to actually help those less fourtunate . you never know what some one has gone through.
Ignorant people bashing Habitat. The people who get the homes are working. They have to put in hundreds of hours building the house. They have to attend a ton of classes on home maintenance, financial management, etc. Habitat is funded by donations.
The people who get Habitat homes come in different colors.
I'm sure a nice obama family is moving in .

ReplyDeleteHabitat is socialism. We give you a house as a reward for being a parasite on society.
ReplyDeleteHow about the rest of us who work hard to pay our mortgages and taxes and don't suck off of others?
