Wicomico County First District Councilwoman Sheree Sample-Hughes has announced the next in her series of clean-up days. According to
Ms. Sample-Hughes, the next clean-up will be in San Domingo. The project is scheduled to start at 9:00 A.M. at the historic Rosenwald School on
Saturday, June 20, 2009 and will conclude at noon. The project will focus upon wood lined areas along San Domingo, Snethen Church and Norris Twilley Roads.
Councilwoman Hughes said, “I urge as many of my constituents as possible to join us. The clean-ups provide a great opportunity for community fellowship as well as being beneficial to the area affected.” Wicomico County Roads Division will provide gloves, bags, pick up sticks and trash bins. The previous clean up garnered 2 tons of trash from the San Domingo Community, most items were recyclable materials.

Plenty of inmates to do this work , take advantage of it

Still not a bad idea, this town could use some cleaning up.
ReplyDeleteIf we could some how get this organized, plenty of county inmates would be more than happy to help.
The local jail is a really underused as far as contributing back to the community.
There really needs to be a whole new generation of politicians (actual citizens stepping into the role of politicians).
And I complained about being off topic in another post :)
