I couldn't believe this when I saw it on Consumerist. GO HERE to read more.

  1. Advertising is FULL of subliminal messages to control our minds.

  3. I have also boycott Quizno's because of their gay ad's. I don't find them funny. I find them offensive.

  4. i like all the ads, i think they are funny, hardly offensive, and companies that take risks get my business... im so over the holier than thou people in this world that think sex doesnt happen, or that little hints like this do not entice our minds into buying things... why not???

  5. Hey, sex sells and no one argue that. It is what it is.

  6. 9:09 I think all the people in the world, even the "holier then thou" folks, know and accept that sex happens. It's simply that many feel that sex doesn't need to be plastered on billboards and incorporated into every television commerical. Maybe it's this casual approach to intercourse and oral sex that is sending the message to our pre-teen girls that sexting and sending nude photos of themself is okay? These sex-laced ads do a lot more than simply sell a product. A little class and decorum aren't a bad thing for a civilized society to have.

  7. Why not? Because this world does not consist of adults only!.. There are way to many young adults and kids out there viewing such things (like this) that parents are not able to control.. No difference than the example from a provious comment last week regarding erectile disfuntion comercial on at 8pm at night.
I agree it's a way to entice sales & that with today's economy comapnies are doing what they can - Ads like this should be left to either late night TV or placed in descrete places.

    That's what I thought.

  11. These ads are meant to be funny....not teach your teenage daughter it's ok to have oral sex. People are reading way too much into an ad for a cheeseburger. How your teenager acts depends on how YOU raise them. If a Burger King ad sways her to do such things....than maybe you should question your parenting skills and not an advertisment for Burger King.

  12. Am I the only one who thinks the model looks like one of those blow-up dolls?

  13. Maybe you should have the moral compass to know the damn differance. Take a look at our society and see if your arguement fits. Question my parenting skills again and Ill kick your ass.

  14. Grannies a little freaky, freaky.

  15. I would be that this billboard did NOT run in the USA. Probably in the UK or Europe.

  16. Really 10:00? You sound like a great parent by making that remark. It's an advertisment for a cheeseburger and that's it....there are other more important things in this world to worry about than a Burger King ad.

  17. Ill get to all of them today too. Sorry about the ass-kick remark sometimes my hands are faster than my common sense. I apologize for that. Its gone to far and our society is suffering from it is all I was trying to say. At what point is responsibility more or less important than profit?

  18. 9:53, of course this ad is not intended to teach my teen daughter to have oral sex. Operative word, "intended."

    You miss the point.

Teen girls are bombarded with media messages every day to make themselves sexier. Messages about what their "use" is. You underestimate the effect those messages have on them. Take some time to listen to what teen girls talk about.

It all depends on where these are marketed. I saw one BK ad at 1 in the morning on some movie station that a real in-your-face rap piece. Do you think they were marketing to grandpa?

I'm no prude, dude. But when you equate blow jobs with fast food whose prime markets are kids and teens, well, you get a bad taste in your mouth.

    Tasteless ad, bad consumerism.

  19. Here is how subliminal advertising works: first they plant a trigger - an association between the product and the urge or desire to have sex perfomed on one's self. Then, later, when the product is presented, the trigger is activated. The victim experiences an unusual (unexplainable) feeling and doesn't realize the association. If the subliminal becomes too obvioius, the techniques does not work. Those of us on this blog, will not have the experience. Once you "see it" (conscously) it no longer works on you.
The point is this: the goal is to CONTROL your mind. It is not about being funny, etc. This is not harmless. This is very very harmful. It is not about being a prude. It is about understanding the technique of subliminal mind control.

  21. When did everyone on the planet loose their sense of humor and ability to relax? Did everyone grow a board in thier butts and become Sarah Palin?

Its funny. Most humor, on a certian level, is stupid and mindless. Relax a bit.
