Updated Information: Seaford Shooting Now A Homicide Investigation
Suspect in custody, 66 year-old male
Troopers responded to a residence located in the 23000 block of Burton Road in the Indian Village development. Upon arrival troopers made contact with a male suspect who resides at that location. The man indicated that he had an altercation with a second male. Responding troopers found John J. Nunemann, 35, of 23577 Burton Road, lying in the residence, he had been shot multiple times and had died as a result of his injuries.
The 66 year-old man was taken into custody and transported to Troop 4 near Georgetown.
Troopers recovered the weapon used in the homicide.
State police investigators are still trying to piece together the events that lead up to the shooting. Troopers believe that two men were friends and had become involved in an argument which escalated into the shooting. It is unclear at this time what the argument was over.

ReplyDeleteLocal rumor has it that the deceased was constantly stealing from an elderly blind man. That doesn't legally justify killing him, but if it's true and Moreli was willing to sacrifice his freedom to serve a slice of real justice, more power to him!
