On May 4, 2009, a District Court judge found Jackie Perry, 59, Guilty of Animal Cruelty and sentenced him to 90 days in jail and ordered him to pay the dog’s hospital bill.
Assistant State’s Attorney Richard Brueckner says on March 18, 2009, Perry’s dog separated from his leash and entered the neighbor’s yard and began to play with the neighbor’s dog on Carrolton Avenue in Salisbury. Then, investigators says Perry walked into his neighbor’s yard, unprovoked, and smacked the dog on the head with a shovel. The badly injured dog was chained up on its property at the time of the incident. The officer on the scene said Perry inflicted unnecessary suffering on the adult Shar Pei breed named “Kong.” The incident resulted in permanent blindness of Kong’s left eye.
The National Humane Education Society urged the State’s Attorney’s Office to “pursue maximum justice allowable in this case because barbarous acts towards animals often lead to brutality to humans.” ASA Brueckner says yesterday’s sentence was the maximum penalty.
Jackie Perry had better give thanks to the God of his understanding that he did not assault our dog. I have a permit for my handgun, and I will protect my property.
ReplyDeleteThere needs to be a lot harsher penalties.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to tie him up and bash his head with a shovel and see how he likes it. I agree not enough punishment. Hope he gets beat in jail.
ReplyDeletePerry needs someone to hit him with a shovel. Good job Judge
ReplyDeletePlea to the court:
ReplyDeleteYour Honor,
The people request that the court put the bastard, Jackie Perry, in a cage, for life, with the bastard, Mike Vick. Give them bunch of Viagra and no lubricants. Anyone who is cruel to defensless pets deserves a LOT of unpleasant physical events, themselves.
F@#cking Loser!!! Where's my shovel?
ReplyDeleteOMG this makes me sick. That poor dog!! What a spineless asshole to abuse an animal like that.
ReplyDeleteLucky for the dog the judge did what she did, good for her. Wasn't there a Group who tried to get stronger penalties for the mis treatment of animals??? Think the
ReplyDeleteCounty Council turned most of those
ideas down. Just wait till their animal gets severely hurt or worse yet their family member. Bet you'll see those laws changed a lot
by then!!!!
I'd not only bash his head with the shovel he'd be walking funny with that shovel sticking out of his anus.
ReplyDeleteBa$tard. Sorry, Joe, but I can't help curse that.
ReplyDeleteTougher penalties! People who abuse animals are more likely to do violence to humans, too.
Forget his head!I would slam him in the b*lls with the shovel, repeatedly, until he puked.
ReplyDeleteHe should also be charged with trespassing. People that abuse animals usually abuse people as well.
