OK, so here's the deal. Salisbury News has Exclusive Photos of today's destruction of the old Boulevard Theater. Mind you, I'm sure there's some pictures out there of the building being torn down but let me assure you, I've got some shots that will knock your socks off. The question is, when would you like mt to Post them. Tomorrow, Monday? It may even take three or four Posts because I have around 250 pictures to choose from. WBOC, WMDT nor the Daily Times were there. That's OK though, they'll just buy some one's cell phone picture and make it look like they did something. ;-)
Let me know when you'd like to see them.
Love to see them. Sorry to se it go, But it was falling down. as for the pics, anytime.

ReplyDeleteReconciled1, I divorced one of you. LOL
ReplyDeleteI have some great memories of that theater!I also remember there was two others, one by Kmart and one at the old mall but Boulevard was IT.
ReplyDelete:( too sad. i worked there from the wee age of 15 to around 18 or 19 and had some amazing memories there. the old projectionists, myself included used to write the movie names that played in the top of theatre #3. the oldest room there. VERY old names on that wall. lots of little nooks and crannies all over the place in that thing... many places to maybe, uhhh, kiss a girl :) yeah, it was fun!
ReplyDeletethere was also an incredible archive of old posters, VERY old, that we used to snag cool ones from... wow, so sad to see it go :( it really helped shape my teenage years, and helped introduce me to a lot of the people in salisbury... i can attribute that place to a lot of my success in life!
Never, I saw the place 35 years before you showed up
ReplyDeleteHow about a seperate page with ALL the pictures. Alls I heard all day was about this theatre and the terrible accident earlier
ReplyDeleteToo bad that they couldn't take it down with an implosion on that building and brought it down in one swoop with a few explosions. I bet that would have drawn a big crowd to watch it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe build a wall with the names of every person who gave their lives in defense of this nation that was from the eastern shore.
ReplyDeleteblutojthetotmom! I think you and took in a movie or two back in the day at K-Mart. Nightmare on Elm Street come to mind?
ReplyDeleteJoe:
ReplyDeleteThis post is pretty effing arrogant and egotistical even for you.
If you have pictures, post them.
How long have you been reading newspapers or watching TV?
Ever notice how often Tom Draper brags about scooping Greg Basset?
