Shanie Up By One Vote, No Change
It looks like Shanie Shields has won the District 1 seat and will remain Salisbury Councilwoman.
I'd like to personally congratulate Shanie for her win and thank Cynthia Polk for running. The two of them ran good clean campaigns and both can hold their heads high by doing so.
Clearly your vote counts in local elections. I spoke to Shanie about this last night and she said no matter what happens, it will be her personal goal to express to her District just how important it is for people to vote. People have died to offer you this freedom and all too often Americans take it for granted.
Shanie also informed me that it is her goal to create a Website where she can update it regularly, (not a Blog, she said) to keep her District better informed. Onward and upward Folks.
Shannie Shields is full of BS.
ReplyDeleteI am in an acute state of depression.
ReplyDeleteIm glad shanie won because the people of salisbury really dont know cynthia she is money hungry and very selfish.how can she run a city when her house look like the city dump!! ask the ladies she went into business with. they will happy to let you know what cynthia polk really stand for!! God dont like ugly and behind that fake smile is Ugly!!! GOOD JOB SHANIE OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE LIKE YOUR WORK KEEP YOUR HEAD TO THE SKY AND KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO!!
ReplyDeleteWhen Debbie and Terry put up a website to keep their district informed, Shanie Shields condemned them.
ReplyDeleteAll her nice talk is just b.s. Shanie don't walk that walk.
Shanie create a website? Is that what she got her associates degree in from Wor-Wic? Computer Science? I'm laughing so hard my ribs hurt.
ReplyDeleteI judge a person by their actions.
ReplyDeleteShanie Shields last night voted for 2 more years of disasterous government with her vote for Louise Smith as City Council President.
She guaranteed that NONE of Mayor Ireton's programs will ever see the light of day. As Council President, Louise Smith will not let ANY of Mayor Ireton's proposals be introduced by Debbie Campbell or Terry Cohen.
The will of 60% of this entire city has been undone by one vote in District 1.
Good luck Shanie! Mrs. Polk I guess its you and Bozo and who else.
ReplyDeleteShanie needs to listen to what she is ask to vote on. Not to take guideance from other people on the council (like gary). Think for yourself shanie...
ReplyDeleteShanie Shields wears a mask. Will the real Shanie Shields please stand up?
ReplyDelete6:22. I seen both houses. Shanie's old one was a dump. Cynthia's ain't.
ReplyDeleteCynthia at least wouldn't vote the slumlord agenda. Shanie is all bout dat.
I see one of Shanie's supporters is as ignorant as Shanie. She ought to have a class in the fundamentals of writing.
ReplyDeleteSomeone with the time and energy needs to start a recall document to get the town rid of at least two of the city council people! I am ready to sign it.
ReplyDeletethis is a blog not an essay
ReplyDeleteShanie does NOT have an Associates Degree in anything from anywhere.
ReplyDeletei guess its ok to drag shanies name through the dirt cynthia isnt any better than shanie i see its alot of people without anything better to do she won and by my book she is the best!cynthia is dumber than a box of rocks!
ReplyDeleteA recall petition should be initiated post haste.
ReplyDeleteit is what it is so all yall haters let shanie do what she do!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have the resources to start an email petition to pass around the city like the Patriotic Resistance is doing? This is how getting Comegys and Smith recalled will get done. In addition, it will take people at card tables on street corners in neighborhoods that are predominately non- internet users to gain enough signatures to get Shanie's recall done.
ReplyDeleteAnyone out there, please tell Joe, and he can hook you up with me.
Shanie has dragged herself through the mud since high school.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw Shanie's response to the Pac-14 discussion of April 13, I was aghast. She is an embarrasment to herself and the community at large. She has no knowledge, no insight and no logic.
ReplyDeleteThis is not Pocomoke City. A family member of Shanie's was on duty at the polling place for district 1. That should be a conflict of interest.
ReplyDeleteOrsonwells, how many signatures are required for a recall? On Shields?
ReplyDeleteSuck it up .. Shanie won!
ReplyDeleteWhether it's Shanie or Cynthia who won is not the real problem here.. the real problem is the disgraceful voter turnout.
ReplyDeleteBlack folk complain that they can't get representation, so the powers-that-be have to stack the deck by creating special voting districts comprised of mostly 'minorities'.
And look what happens.
You know what? I'd bet if one of these two ladies had been running against a white opponent, some folk would have shut off the TV and got up off their butt to go VOTE!
8:27 and others, besides your dislike of Comegys and Smith, do you have a viable reason for a recall? The voters put both into their positions, and the Council voted for its leaders, following the procedures outlined in the city charter. Like it or not, they will be running the Council for at least the next two years.
ReplyDeletevoter turn out was poor. you have no one to blame but the collective apethetic. Its like closing the barn door after the horse gets out.
ReplyDeleteI can´t wait to see Shanie type a coherent statement on her web site.
ReplyDeleteShanie, by the looks of the few comments on here from a few of your supporters they are just as unintelligent as you are. They are an embarrassment to the human race. They are just purely stupid and very GHETTO! I wouldn't be a bit surprised if those few comments weren't by you.

Thanks Bubba.... now get back to eating your bucket of chicken!
This is shameful. Disgusting.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of what you think, shut your mouth, Shaney may be a poor example of a council person. Cynthia may be outspoken, so what, it that any reason to call names, and spew hatred. No. No. No.
Grow up Salisbury, this is vile and so immature. VOTE I will bet you the people who have such a way of talking/writing did not vote. absolutely Ugly Ugly Ugly.
We were afraid of this...same old, same old. the council "officers election", 3 to 2...same old, same old.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that one vote decides that District 1 gets no representation. Oh well, if you don't vote you don't deserve representation.
ReplyDeleteFrom the morning rag:
ReplyDeleteShields said had she lost, she would not have requested the recount.
"I would have just kept on going," she said.
Shields couldn't resist a stab. She wouldn't have requested a recount -- her slumlord buddies would have insisted on it. Robin Cockey was her lawyer. Nuff said.
Shanie since you have won, for the first time in your life will you please think for yourself and not let others do it for you. Show us that you have the intelligence to be sitting at that table, because so far, you have not done so. This is very disappointing for those people you represent and very embarrassing for the residents of this city to be represented by someone who can't think for herself. Why must you always vote the same way Gary & Louise vote - what are they promising you - if you had not won this election do you honestly think they would have come to your rescue if you needed them? I doubt it. Shanie you are being used and I believe you are big enough to realize that, wake up.
ReplyDelete9:51, Shanie does not have the capacity for independent thinking. I doubt that she can comprehend your message. She has aboslutely no insight. So sad.
ReplyDeleteShanie Shields recommended that 'JACK SPRAT' be involved in the Pac-14 issue. Remember him from childhood? Jack Sprat could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean. So between the two of them, they picked something clean. That is a clear indication of her mentality.
ReplyDeleteThe people who voted for Shanie have the same mentality.
ReplyDeleteNeither was a good choice.
ReplyDeleteOMG! The Gumping of the City Council. "That's all I have to say about that". Forest Gump
