Man struck by vehicle, possibly shot at in Wilkes-Barre
WILKES-BARRE - Police said a man was struck by a vehicle and possibly shot at while walking on North Main Street early Friday morning.
Richard Dorsey, of Salisbury, Md, reported he was walking toward Union Street at about 1:15 a.m. when a man in a vehicle yelled at him. Dorsey ignored the taunts and walked across North Main Street when he was struck by the vehicle, police said.
Dorsey said a passenger in the vehicle put his arm out the window holding a handgun. Dorsey turned away and heard what he believed was a gunshot, police said.
The vehicle, a gray or primer color - possibly an older model Chevrolet Camaro - sped away. Dorsey was not injured, police said.
This happened in Northern Pennsylvania while away at college.
