  1. Chief Webster wanted Bubba to win the election and any officer who was for Ireton was punished.

  2. 9:41, can you say CURUPTION....I really love that JIM won, but he has his work cut out for him. There is still a lot of the good ole boy's left in the system, we need to break them up, and I beleive we just started with JIM. GO JIM

  3. Ireton says " I will work with the police chief..." What happened to the implied campaign promises to get rid of the police chief ??

  6. Did anyone else hear Louise Smith state that if Jim Ireton gets elected Mayor she is going to resign?

  7. 10:19 -- Ireton did not specify who the police chief would be.

Nothing is preventing him from replacing the current chiefie with someone else would be easier to work with!

  8. Jim Ireton fully understands the gravity of our city's crime problems and I beleive he's got what it takes to turn it around. Give him time.

I am glad you mentioned this as I saw the clip last night and decided to make a comment myself.

Mayor Ireton said he will work with the "Police Chief" he never said anything about Alan Webster. Wink, Wink

  11. 10:19 Jim said he would work with the "Chief of Police", but he didn't say a name, hum??????? Give him time, he isn't even sworn-in yet. You can say a lot without saying anything... It's called being subtle.

  12. He said he would work with the police chief; he did Not say who the police chief will be!

  13. Finally I can refer to this city's top executive as Mayor. I am still proud of myself for anonymously coining the term "mare" on ole Grandaddy Blogger Duval's blog. Yep, I've been blogging with these guys for several years now and it comforts me to see I played a small part in bringing this tyrannical witch down! Bubba, Mare, and others... that was me...LMAO

  14. I hope Louweasal made that statement and meant it. It would be gladly accepted.

  15. 9:41: It's easy to say or write that, but do you have anything to back that statement up?

  16. 9:41 Sure, I can say CORRUPTION. Question is, can you spell it?

  17. Congrats, Jim! Only a few more days left . . .

  18. Congratulations to Salisbury on your election of a new mayor. Now the real work begins.

  19. The person who coined the name "Mare" was the old mayor of Ocean City, Harry Kelly, that's what he called himself all the time!

  20. Don't forget the SFD. They need good leadership too. Get rid of the trash at the top presently. All of them. Hoppes, Gordy, and See. SFD needs dignity too.

What the heck are you talking about? This discussion is about Barrie Parsons Tilgman now go take your chill pill... GOOF!

  22. Jim is not going to go in and start firing people right away, folks. That's the Tilghman playbook, and we don't need any more of that crap. Jim has always said he will work with the chief to implement JIM'S vision for fighting crime, and if the chief can't conform to that, then he will have to go.
