After relocating from the building above the Bank of Delmar relocated to their new location on Rt. 13 next to Rite Aid in Delmar, MD. After speaking to several residents, none of them could ever recall the Delmar Bank of Delmar ever being robbed.
Nevertheless, this morning they were in fact robbed. The Maryland State Police, Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and WBI responded immediately and started bombarding the area with Officers and Dogs.
Because of the immediate response, these agencies were in fact able to catch the Bank Robber trying to break into a building in order to get away from the Police.
The Robber is now in custody at the WCSO and ALL of the stolen cash has been recovered. Once again, a hat to to our local Law Enforcement Agencies!

Who was it, crazy s.o.b.
ReplyDeleteIf he knew how little cash is kept at that bank he would have tried elsewhere.
ReplyDeletewas is the new one or the old one that was robbed?
ReplyDeleteGlad it happened in the county, Salisbury would still be keeping it a secret and not telling other agencies it happened and they wouls still be looking for them. Not because of the guys but because of the management.
ReplyDeleteI just told my husband the other day how irate I was that the money machine at the new Bank of Delmarva was located so that you had to get out of your car. Now granted there was a robbery in Salisbury where a resident was in his car but thats the first I heard of that happening. More precautions need to be taken in this crazy world.
ReplyDeleteAgain, another wonderful job done by our Troopers and Sheriffs Dept!!!! Great work!!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you have a picture of this guy? On March 2 I was accosted in the parking lot of this bank after making a withdrawal at the cash machine...which you have to walk up to. It was a white male, who followed me to my car. I thought quickly and got in my car, locked the door and pulled out, so he didn't get any money and I wasn't hurt, but he banged on the window of my car. I just wonder if it's the same guy. Crazy world we live in. I liked the old Bank of Delmarva that was in town, as the cash machine was a drive through service.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what fool designed that building, but surelly they did not think about their ATM customers. The machine looks as it may have been located as an afterthought.
ReplyDeletedid you tell the police you almost got robbed?...
ReplyDeletedid this robber live a chestnut manor apartments ?
ReplyDeleteGlad they caught him -- it's getting crazy out there.
ReplyDelete4:12, the building has looked like that for about 30 years. I don't think that an ATM was in the design plans. Plus, the building was actually built to work with the prexisting structures.
ReplyDeleteDet Trooper Horace Chester caught this man bare handed and didnt even use handcuffs cause Horace Chester doest need handcuffs.
ReplyDeleteI heard Tpr. Hoarce Chester was on scene no wonder the bad guy was caught
ReplyDeletewas detective workman there
ReplyDeleteTpr. Metzger is hot
ReplyDeletethe bad guy must not have known that all money is Hoarce Chester's
ReplyDeleteanother great job by WBI
ReplyDeleteSuperman wears Horace Chester pajamas
ReplyDeleteMy question is where in the hell was the Delmar cops on this one?
ReplyDeleteThey were in Court.
ReplyDeletewell from what i understand they were not able to handle the dead body behind rite aid either and wbi had to step up to the plate and take care of it i guess delmar police just handle easy calls
