ANOTHER BREAKING NEWS STORY

It has been reported that a 28 year old woman went into minor surgery today at PRMC and died. The Hospital is keeping quiet about it so details are hard to get right now. Once this is read, however, expect the MSM to jump on it and get the rest of the story. I'm told it happened around 2:30 PM today.

  1. That sucks. Could happen to anyone.

  2. Joe, respectfully, the MSM is probably gathering facts before they haphazardly post something. You should probably do the same. I'm saying it didn't happen. But just putting a story up to be first without any hard facts isn't really being first.

  3. Did the death have something to do with the tbe anesitia team?

  4. anonymous 9:12, in the case of PRMC, I really don't give a crap. I have no interest in calling them. My info is good and let me assure you, the Daily Times has no clue about this. Well, until they read my story, that is. If PRMC wants to create a better working relationship, fine. Until then, they can kiss my you know what.

Go to Worcester County where there is LIFE.

  5. Joe, I am not so sure about your "Worcester County" comment - you should know that all locals over there refer to AGH as "Ain't Going Home" instead of Atlantic General Hospital due to the many cases of professional malfeasance and incompetence.

  6. What do you expect? That place has gone to complete sh!t! The Staff including the Dr's are lazy, rude and don't really care what is wrong with you....

    ReplyDelete
  7. Go after them Joe. The Daily Times is in their pocket -- never writes a single negative story about PRMC. At least we have you to expose these rascals.

  8. As a former employee at PRMC, deaths there get covered up all of the time. It's a shame this happen. Hopefully they get a INDEPENDENT investigation into the death, but PRMC history will say otherwise. About the AGH comment, you do know that the same doctors from PRMC practice there as well. I do know that AGH DOES NOT drug test their employees, so take that for what its worth.

I wonder if this is a result of the traveling anesthesiology group?

  9. I have been misdiagnosed three times at the PRMC ER...one was life threatening and one could have left me paralyzed. I am afraid to go there.

    ReplyDelete
  10. If you check some stats, they say the leading cause of death is medical treatment. PRMC has a huge infection problem. Joe they could really use some attention.

Doctors are breaking the rules all the time and then yell at the nurses when they barely made a mistake.

  11. Joe -

Be a man and stand behind your words! You always toss out possible info, and if you get lucky then you say "you heard it here first".

If you are SO sure about your info then say "It happened at 2:30pm today" instead of "I'm told in happened around 2:30".

Real news doesn't make assumptions. This is why they are the news!

  12. I was in prmc in september 2007 for a catheter placement in outpatient. When I arrived home that night and early the next morning I developed a severe case of hyperglycemia and ended up back in prmc for the rest of the week. I say to this day it was a result of the anesthesia used.

  13. This post and subsequent comments are reprehensible and completely irresponsible.

  14. I have a tattoo on my chest that says "Send me to Baltimore" if I am ever in an accident.

PRMC is also ran by one of the worst human beings alive, Alan Newberry. I wonder if he is related to Dinglebarrie?

  15. Does not suprise me one bit.....if you survive surgery the MSRA infections will kill you.

  16. When I had my appendix out there years ago the anesthesiology group left part of the equipment in my throat. I had to go to my Doctor to find what had happened.

I went back there had it removed and they tried to say they had no idea what it was I must have swallowed it. They would not let me have it but I did get a picture of it. I proved what it was and eventually they admitted their mistake and removed charges for services.

But they sure tried to cover up their mistakes. Maybe it is better to have these people from elsewhere less chance of a cover up.

  19. you think alan newberry is bad....we now have an even worse excuse for a human being..Peggy Nalepa. Could care less about the staff and is a b----. Oh and don't forget Karen Poisker who should have been gone long ago. Thinks she all that and surely does not stand up for her staff. Replace them all!

  20. Wonder if it had to do with bariatric surgery for weight loss. I have heard (on the hush hush) that there have been LOTS of problems with the local weight loss surgeons and some deaths. Also did this happen at PRMC or the surgery center? I thought most minor surgeries were at the surgery center.

  21. Health care facilities aren't allowed to realease this type of information. Besides, why would anyone want to publush such grumesome info. You got problems Joe.

  22. 11:45 So explain to me how the original post and subsequent uninformed comments are telling me, or anyone else for that matter, "like it is." This story, like this blog in general, is akin to a bunch of old ladies sitting around in a living room peeking out the curtains and telling each other "like it is" about what they think each and every person living in the neighborhood is doing. You people really should reach for a higher standard of living.

  23. i have an idea... let's destroy all the doctors careers at PRMC one by one by releasing any hearsay evidence without anyone knowing the truth.. and then the hospital will just fold and cease to exist

    That's a great idea... who's on board?

COme on people.. because that is what we are doing here

  24. 11:54 Looking at your post, it seems the government really need to raise its hiring standards.

  25. 11:54
Your grammar is a great reflection of exactly why you are a government employee. Nice job

  26. 11:54

If I was as illiterate as you are, I wouldnt reveal who I am either. Maybe when the details of this come out, they can figure out who has an illiterate government employed boyfriend and fire her for leaking info. Hope your coast guarding will support you and her.

  27. I refuse to go to PRMC. We go to Hopkins for our medical/surgical needs. They are the best....bar none.

Hopkins is like the rest of them. When my son was air lifted over there was no room for him & he was on a bed in a hallway. When he got into a room an hour later the doctor who came in tried to treat him for an athsma problem when he was there b/c he was slipping into a coma from low blood sugar w/ no known reason. Then when I told him we weren't there for a breathing problem he realized he had the wrong chart & told me "let's still give him the breathing treatment". Sure... a kid w/ no history of breathing trouble & not showing any signs of breathing trouble now - lets just give him meds for breathing trouble anyway.

  30. when i was 16 i worked at a grocery store. an er charge nurse for prmc came into my line. while i was waiting on her to get exact change out of her purse my co-worker asked me a question and i answered her. this apparently made the nurse extremely upset. the next time she came into the store, she was in another co-workers line and they saw her point to me and say "theres that girl that was rude, if she ever came into PRMC i would leave her on the stretcher to die." --the quotes are there for a reason. my co-worker went to the manager when they heard this to let them know. the nurse then jumped out of line and into my co-workers face, asking her why she went to the manager. she then proceeded to BEAT this girl, also 16. She grabbed her hair, which ended up falling out in clumps and was punching her in her face. we of course called the police who took the nurse to the station and went to court where we won the case. this nurse was charged with felony assualt on a minor.

the surprise? this woman was never suspended or put on even a temporary leave at PRMC. She kept her title, pay and everything. I know because my best friend's mom works in the cath lab there and she looked into it for me.

i recently went in because i was in a car accident. i was transported by ambulance on a stretcher and was scared to death. they have also almost killed my sister when she went for a heat stroke and my boyfriend has every sypmtom of mrsa on his knee, we were told it was a spider bite and the er doc sliced it open and pinched the area, without giving him any pain relievers or numbing agents first and sent him home, no antibiotics or pain pills.

i will never go there again.

Who is Whittington, Nichol? Where did that name come into this?

  33. Last time I went there for sugery, it was on my neck. The day of the surgery, after my shower, I took a black magic marker and drew a dotted line on my neck and then wrote...Do Not Cut Below The Dotted Line! Last thing I remember before going under was everyone in the surgery room laughing their butts off.

  34. You are entitled to your opinions about what motivates these comments but I make my comments based upon personal experience. My Mother contracted a vicious staph infection while she was an inpatient at PRMC several yrs ago and had to airlifted to Shock Trauma, and the staff there in Baltimore said she had one of the worst cases they had ever seen. She died within the week. She only had weeks to live because of her original illness and the infection robbed of her of what little time she did have. Many more have survived these infections only to be permantly diasabled and deformed from their ordeal.
I do not agree with the personal attacks on various hospital staff members but you would have to have your head in the proverbial sand not to know they have an infection control issue.

  35. prmc ER employees have a big problem with obeying confidentiality laws..i know of a recent leak to a patient who was seen's work place...i've been trying to convince him to sue their a$$e$.

  37. Joe-
I havent heard/seen any more about this. What did you find ? Seems no other media reported this incident. Come on Joe....was it due to the new anesthesia group?

    ReplyDelete
  38. what happened with this? is this true or a false post?

    ReplyDelete
  39. If tis true, where are the details? No other media source has reported it and nothing else has been reported by you. If you have an inside source (family or friend), please get the details. A member of my family is scheduled for elective surgery there in 2 weeks and I am scared. What kind of surgery was it, who was the surgeon, and what went wrong. We, the public, are anxious to know whats going on.
