Hello Joe,
We recently lost our father to a short, but courageous battle with cancer. My mother and father were married for 46 years and in the six months of dealing with this dreadful disease she was by his side every single day, every step of the way until the very end. I would love to take her out for an enjoyable time and especially to such a beneficial event for Brooke. Thank you, Christy Gilliar"
Christy, CONGRATULATIONS! While we're sorry for your loss, please enjoy what will certainly be a fantastic time tomorrow at Seacrets. Your 2 Tickets will be available at Will Call at Seacrets. If you have any problems, please keep the following name to contact when you get there. Eric Morris
Great job Joe!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless her. My step father passed away in 3/06 at the young age of 56. Brain Cancer is a horrible thing. At first it was believed he had a stroke at work when he got totally lost in his palce of business , Later it was diagnosed as a large brain tumor. He developed a tumor on the communication part of his brain which affected his speech.. Over the 10 1/2 months of his battle, he developed his own communication language that only a few of us could fully understand. He believed he was using the correct terms for things when in fact it was something completely different. Door for shoes etc... It was never the same discriptions.
ReplyDeleteHe kept his dignity and love through out the whole horrible process. Amazingly and probably due to the amount of steriods they had him on to control the brain swelling, he never lost his appetite or any weight. When he died he was still a gentle giant at 6'2" and 350 lbs.
I stayed by his bedside his last nite with us and everytime he would gasp I would just rub his hand and let him know it was ok to let go. At 9am on 3/29/06 , while we were surrounding him and singing,"You are my sunshine" (his song for my mom)he breathed his last breath. We miss him everyday. May Charles W. Donoway, Jr. always be remembered for the loving, caring man he was.
