Incident: Theft

Suspect: Joseph F. Hall, 21, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 11 March 2009 at 3:15 AM, a deputy on patrol stopped a vehicle operated by Joseph Hall on East Main Street in Salisbury for an equipment violation. During the traffic stop, the deputy questioned the authenticity of the registration card provided by Hall for his vehicle. Upon further examination, the deputy discovered that the license plate displayed on Hall’s vehicle had been reported stolen to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office back on 31 January 2009. In addition to the stolen plate, the deputy determined that the vehicle Hall operated was both unregistered and uninsured.
Hall was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Hall was released by the Commissioner on Personal Recognizance.

Incident: Extradition

Suspect: Marty Eugene Days, 45, LKA Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 11 March 2009, two deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office extradited Marty Eugene Days from South Carolina who was being held there on warrants obtained by the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and Salisbury Police. Days had fled from Salisbury to avoid prosecution, but was apprehended in South Carolina when he was believed to be on his way to Florida.
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred on 13 February 2009 when Days stabbed a woman during an altercation. That warrant charged Days with First Degree Assault. The Salisbury Police Warrant charged Days with the theft of a motor vehicle. Upon returning to Wicomico County, Days was brought to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance there, Days was held at the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $40,000.00 bond by the Commissioner.
