Dear Joe,
I want to thank you and everyone for your kind words and congratulations. You know, as much as I am honored and humbled by the nomination to top 100 women in Maryland, I know it is not mine alone. This nomination belongs to our many community heroes. We are blessed with so many individuals, women and men, who selflessly share their time, talents and resources to make a positive difference in many aspects of our community.
One closest to my heart is strengthening our local youth programs like Kids of Honor, which not only empowers youth to graduate from High School, but instills in them a deep sense of self worth, hope and leadership.
I also would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to another Salisbury nominee, this year, Ms. Sandra Fitzgerald-Angello of Pohanka Automotive Group.
Sincerely,
Hala McIver
the way you value yourself is if you can "give more than you make". sandy clearly doesnt.
ReplyDeletewhat about celeste savage?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteReally? It is not a crime to be successful. Sandy is a good stewart of her money by giving back to the local community on a daily basis with time, money and in-kind donations. She just donated the use of her home to the Wellness Community Fundraiser that helped them raise over $20,000 dollars.
ReplyDeleteRight now Pohanka is giving back to the community by donating $100 from every car sale to the local charity of the customers choice. I don't see any other company doing that....maybe you should get your fact straight before you say things you know nothing about!
Nice to have people like you in our community; it keeps us all going despite the complainers
ReplyDeleteHala McGiver is a class act.
ReplyDeleteThat's McIver, so you know.
ReplyDeleteI have worked with Sandy Fitzgerald on a few different community and charitable committees and she is extremely giving and generous to this community. She has also used her leverage to get Toyota to financially sponsor community events here in Salisbury. She clearly has been successful, but to attack her for "not giving" is unfair and completely inaccurate. And no, I am not an employee, family member, or close friend of Sandy, just someone who does not like the anonymous unfair attacks often found here.
