Veterans Groups Blast Obama Plan for Private Insurance to Pay for Service-Related Health Care
President Obama's plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs for the treatment of troops injured in service has angered veterans groups who say the government has a moral obligation to pay for service-related medical care.

Can someone please take a poll? How many of you people who voted for this man regret your choice?
ReplyDeleteNot me i didnt vote for him, but many do regret their choice. I heard about this and its messed up. These men and women put their lives on the line and our Govt doesnt want to take care of their medical needs after the fact, something that happened in the line of duty...it sucks and is f*%$#* up. however i'm not surprised...look who's in office and in control of the house...but all in all and in the end..... Bush will be blamed!
ReplyDeleteThis man is insane! He wants to charge our heros who fought for our country for insurance? Well..maybe not Obama's homeland, still not sure where he came from!
ReplyDelete"Bush will be blamed!"
ReplyDeleteHe will be and should be! Even Joe said after the election that Bush dug us in a deep hole that we can't get out of overnight... or MANY nights!
This man is DANGEROUS!!! The scary part is that Congress, because it is led by Democrats, has no control over him. I am sure there will be a few more surprises down the road as Mr. O'Bama seems to have rather screwy judgment...
ReplyDelete7:57 -- put the blame where it belongs. A lot of what you are seeing started with Clinton.
ReplyDeleteOh Brother, some of you guys are just tools
ReplyDeleteWhere is the smug blame Bush rebuttal now Obamabots? You morons that voted him in deserve every bit of misery your children will surely suffer, but our brave servicemen do not deserve this.
ReplyDeletenone of us deserve the crap Obama is bringing...........
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of things I don't understand. First, there are a lot of things being treated by the VA that are not service related. That is one area, that it would seem, might be picked up by private carriers. Second, I find that a large number of people who don't think or want a national health care program because it can not be run by the government as well as the private sector, seem to like this government health care system. The logic is confusing. I certainly want our vets war related injuries cared for... as a country we sure as hell own them that. But, many Americans seem to be talking out of both sides of their mouth concerning health care.
ReplyDeleteStill no mention of the plan in either of these posts. NO link to it. NO description of it. Nothing. So, without any information, this is right-wing gnashing of teeth, all sound and fury, signifying nothing.
ReplyDelete"You morons that voted him in deserve every bit of misery your children will surely suffer"
ReplyDeleteTruly a classy statement!
I'm a Republican and I voted for Obama. I thought he was the lesser of the evils but I think I was wrong. He won't listen to the people like he said he would and now he's selling us down the river of debt. He's a liar just like the rest of the politicians in Washington. I wish the Republican party had given us a smarter candidate for president. Now we're sunk. Get yourself a weapon and ammunition cause you're gonna need it.
ReplyDelete10:30,
ReplyDeleteHow is he not listening to the people? His approval ratings are still in the '60's. And how is he selling us down the river? Bush did that. Now Obama has to clean it up.
Every person who served, honorably, in our military deserves our undying appreciation.
ReplyDeleteAny person who was injured while serving in our military deserves continuing medical support from the VA. This treatment MUST be paid for in its entirety by the U.S. government.
Every person who was injured in the line of duty should receive every benefit that the elected members of Congress have voted themselves.
The very idea that the current President should even entertain conversation about abdicating the governments responsibility to veterans is abhorrent.
Bush bears the responsibility for the Iraq war. Obama bears responsibility for all decisions he makes.
retired cop and proud NRA member
You got to wonder how many Delawareans are proud of their former Senator.
ReplyDeleteI love Delaware but Biden is a disgrace to this great State.
With this s^^T going on, it is no wonder the Arabs hate us!!
ReplyDeleteC'mon. It's Fox News. They want Obama to fail worse than Rush Limbaugh. So much for your "liberal media" huh?
ReplyDeleteOh, where was the outrage when Bush was cutting VA benefits. How short are your memories?? It was the liberals who stopped Bush from even greater cuts on VA benefits.
ReplyDelete...and look at how well the VA did with Obama's stimulus plan. Where's the right wing cheering for that? I didn't hear a peep.
And now Obama has a proposal that isn't so bad. This isn't even a cut, just a change in how coverage is paid... and you RWW (right wing wacko) guys are foaming at the mouth.
Get a life.
two cents, I truly despise two faced closeminded people like yourself that refuse to accept the truth....even the WH press sec. has commented on this topic....it's not a lie or a farse made up by Fox News {their the only news willing to tell you whats REALLY going on}
ReplyDeleteIf obama and his pack of congressional crooks wont provide health care to VETS....what the heck makes you think he'll provide it for EVERYONE?????
all those ignorant racist that voted for this obama-nation and his pack of thieves are responsible for destroying our country, you should be tied to a whipping post!
ReplyDeleteIt's his culture!!!!
ReplyDelete"I love Delaware but Biden is a disgrace to this great State."
ReplyDeletePlease explain that statement
Oh really Two Sentz? Haven't you checked out your George Soros driven liberal HuffPo , it is reported on that disgusting site as well.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like most of you believe the President of the United States actually makes decisions. How funny. He has handlers, you know?
ReplyDeleteHe is told what to say. He doesn't decide anything. It is a show. He is a character in a tell-a-vision show.
I'm deeply disappointed. It looks like Obama has indeed gone form "Yes We Can" to "Oh No You Didn't!"
ReplyDeleteI didn't vote for the Messiah.
ReplyDeleteI wish I did.
He's done more to rally conservatives than McCain.
We are getting stronger by the day.
The government is starting to notice.
It won't be long now.
Change is coming.
WOWWWW Isn't this the same man who wants to provide GOVERNMENT funded Health care coverage for everyone, legal and illegal? What, with the exception of the injured military personel? Shame on him!
ReplyDeleteSomeother cool things the Kenyan POTUS is doing--allowing ACORN to help with the US Census count, ACORN got how many billions in the stimulus??? Cutting budgets for weaponry just as Russia and Iran are cranking up their production, and preventing pilots from carrying guns in the cockpit, because a few terrorists may get upset. Oh yeah, and wasn't Obama the second highest recipient of AIG money after Chris Dodd?
ReplyDelete8:14 "..allowing ACORN to help with the US Census count, "
ReplyDeleteAllowing? You mean "asking" for help. What groups would YOU like to see help with the census? If you want a good estimate of the minority community, you need to get a group they trust. ACORN is the obvious choice.
...and opposition to ACORN seems wholly based in racism and the desire to prevent minorities proper representation.
Idiot 4:49, please refer to 3:56 and then tell me how Obama's plan to EXPAND the VA system and bring 500,000 more veterans in "wont provide health care to VETS".
ReplyDeleteQuit having such a knee-jerk reaction to everything Joe posts. Thats why he does it...to trick suckers like you.
It's funny how you can read all the posts on blogs and pick out who the Republicans are and who the Democrats are. Americans really need to educate themselves about our Government. The REAL PROBLEM lies with our Congress. Congress has been pushing these agendas through for decades. Bush isn't to blame, and neither is Obama, or Clinton or Reagan or any other President.
ReplyDeleteHow much progress do you think this country can make with a Congress that has members who have been in Office for 20+ years? I think most people don't even know who their Representatives are!! The only way to affect positive change is by imposing term limits on Congress, and backing that up with a Vote of No Confidence act. You see, if Congressional leaders can't get their way with one Administration, they find ways to chip away at laws that block their agenda, until they can forge a way to accomplish those agendas in the next administration. Why not? They have all the time in the world!!
Please stop watching just that ONE media outlet, and pay attention to what other media Outlets are saying. You'll be surprised how much stories change when you do. I personally watch Fox, CNN, BBC, and I research what they are saying. The fairness Doctrine won't fix this because the media outlets will still "spin" the story to their advantage, or won't report it at all. I'm all for the "Fairness Doctrine" if they apply it to our Educators as well.
Also, if you can't stand behind what you say, don't say( or type) it!! Anonymous posters are useless.
I agree that the Democrat controlled congress engineered most of this, however Obama does have veto power and could have easily postponed the stimulus until EVERYONE READ IT. Just like he PROMISED.
