Jim Ireton, candidate for Mayor of Salisbury, will be examining the condition of the North Prong of the Wicomico River with members of the Wicomico Neighborhood Congress and supporters and then making a major policy announcement at the North Prong of the Wicomico River at Salisbury Monument Co. on Mill Street and Isabella Street.
The announcement will focus on his “Swimable & Fishable” plan for the Wicomico River.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the Wicomico river will NEVER become a safe place to swim again, thanks to Salisbury and their sewage spills. Would you want to swim in your toilet??

ReplyDeleteCome on out to the event and you can chat with him! He actually has gone to some of the businesss owners in this area and discussed ideas with them (I know, a wacky idea--talk to constituents and get input from them).

I hope the man is listening not simply chatting.
That is not true We do not own the water front. It is a right a-way. We only own the property from the corner of Isabella St to the telephone pole. So no he is not giving his speech at a business location or at the involement of a business owner
