Another Armored Car Flips On Route 1

Troopers are currently on the scene of a single vehicle crash on Route 1 southbound, south of Bayview Road.

This crash involved a Brinks Armored Car which was operated by James McNally, 52, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The truck was traveling southbound in the right lane of Route 1 when the operator lost control due to the poor road conditions.

The truck went off of the east edge of the roadway and overturned.

The operator was not injured. A passenger, Brian Weaver, unknown age, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported to Christiana Hospital.

Mr. McNally was cited for Careless Driving.
