As I look at the pictures, I would love to print some of them and take them to my "muscle structure and function" class for the massage therapy curriculum I am attending. What a great way to learn about the muscles, while promoting our hometown pride and joy. Can I do that? Maybe when I get further along in the course I can even offer massage therapy to sharpen my practical skills. This would of course be 'No Charge' as I am a student presently.
Again, Congratulations---and I am looking forward to following your very promising career. Even more importantly, I look forward to watching as you move ahead with honor and dignity.
Excellant pictures Joe and congrats to Fernando on his win! I thought his punches were really hurting the other guy and was suprised he stayed on his feet through it all.
The whole night was very impressive! I would say that nobody needs to see all that extra activity in the last round. I watch you and support you because you seem like a humble and sincere young man. You have big time support from everybody.
Just act like you should be there! I hope we get to see you here again real soon.
Fantastic pics, Joe. I don't know if you saw it, but I grabbed a couple of screen shots of you ringside. Going nationwide! :)
Anyway, great job covering the fight. There's not a shred of doubt in my mind that anyone in this town who wants to see the pics is coming right here to sbynews. Kudos.
Good fight and the fans deserve a lot of credit too. I wish he would have left the showboating to someone else though, it kind of changes my perspective of him. I understand he was ahead in the fight, and wanted to avoid a big punch, but he should show a little more humility, he did get knocked down by this guy. Are the tassels symbolic? They remind me of chicken feathers!
Backinberlin you are correct. I thought I might be the only one who didn't care for the showboat antics. I think that is poor sportsmanship. His opponent did show sportsmanship and class by congratulating him and lifting his hand in victory after the bout. Fernando is a promising, young, good fighter. I prefer he let his skills do his speaking. Congrats Fernando on a job well done
Congratulations on your victory, Fernando!

ReplyDeleteJoe I was surprized to wake up and see the same post as I saw before I got off the computer early last night.
ReplyDeleteYou deserve a break like anyone else and hope you took Jennifer somewhere nice! ; )
