Contrary to what others may think, both these men are good men. Even good men get stupid sometimes. This is an eyeopenner for everyone who wheres a badge.
I myself was stupid once. I too was stopped once, many years ago, when I had no reason to be behind the wheel. The O.P. Officer called me a cab and sent me on my way after a 1 hour butt chewing.
It never happened again.
Personnally, I hope they get PBJ and counselling. Keeping there jobs.

I think if you are in law enforcement or in a capacity to establish, defend or prosecute laws, then your penalty should be even greater than the average citizen.
My mother died driving under the infuence. Thank God nobody else was involved in the crash!
THAT taught me what I needed to know about drinking and driving.
More people should know better!
This is not a BOO BOO as one poster put it. You don't just screw up and do it. You KNOW you are doing it and you KNOW it is illegal, and you KNOW you are not only putting YOUR life at risk, but the lives of OTHERS too!

ReplyDeleteDavis Ruark is not a correctional officer who works with inmates. There are inmates serving time for the same allege offense. There are more correctional officer employee at WCDC with criminal records then any one can imagine. These people should not have jobs at the detention center. Some of these people were found guilty of their crime were given probation. OR Their case was placed on stet docket. OR They were order to give some of their time back to the community. And, they were forgiven and allowed to keep their jobs. Anyone who breaks the law should end up in jail like the rest of the inmates who are housed in the detention center for the same offense. Meanwhile, good people who work in the detention center who made a mistake on the job who were suspended, demoted, reassigned, terminated, chastised and down-right outcast felt the wrath of their peers and upper management on this blog or at work. But, none have brought shame to the detention center through the media. These law breaking correctional officer who break the law will never feel such hatred. Some of you want to show pity for those who allegedly were caught breaking the law. It ain't happening. For all the officers with a criminal history for breaking the law should be fired. How do they expect respect from inmates who are lock up for commiting an allege violation. Some have not gone to court for their violation. The System claims they are innocent until they are proven guilty. But, the have to stay in jail until their court appearance because some of the inmates could not offer to post a bond. That's justice for you. That's pitiful.

ReplyDeleteI agree. Furthermore, He is a supervisor. What kind of example is that to set for his peers and subordinates. I know someone who did much much less on the job and lost their lieutenant bar. That person have never brought shame to the jail.

stevenson should be suspended or fired depending on the circumstances.at a minimum suspension is appropriate.,but it won't happen.devenyns and kimble will cover for him.our government wcdc department head at work.

Capt.Coulburn this shit would not be going on if she had control. as for sgt. stevenson if you dont have enough control to keep from driving when you have been drinking, then you dont need to be a C.O.

Don't be upset with these folks got out and see if you can do the same. And as for Davis Ruark he's a human being like the rest of us he made the same stupid mistake any of us could have. So he gets NO brownie points he was just able to get away with his crime. Of course he could've he's the freakin state's attorney! But guess what the same way Sgt Stevenson isn't setting a good example for his coworker what do you think the other State's Attorney's think they are able to do AND WILL get away with it!!!!

It's kind of hard following rules at times by these supervisors when their not in right standing or even real with themselves. 1st be real with you, before you can deal with anyone else.
