Mel Reynolds
Jesse Jackson has added former Chicago Democrat Congressman Mel Reynolds to Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll. Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute forgiveness spree. Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud, and lies to the Federal Election Commission. He is more notorious, however, for concurrently serving five years for sleeping with an underage campaign volunteer.
This is a first in American politics: An ex-congressman who had sex with a subordinate...won clemency from a president who had sex with a subordinate...then was hired by a clergyman who had sex with a subordinate!

ReplyDeleteWhy is it that Black folk, some of them, cannot see this as WRONG?
ReplyDeleteSay what you want white spirits. God forgives and maybe you should take some lessons from the Bible. Everyone deserves another chance. This is just another example of prejudice- whites trying to hold back another qualified person of color. Complain all you want but we are on a roll and Jesus is at our side. You have had your centuries of rule and domination. Now the people of color will lead the country and eventually the world.Obama will not let us be held back. Obama will punish prejudice by cutting federal funds and letting your peers shut your mouths. Obama will not stand for the wealthy class to flourish at our expense.Obama will redistribute all monies so that everyone is equal. There won't be any rich or poor but a huge average class. The steps are being put in motion right now before your eyes. Wake up .Change has arrived. This is the new world order.
ReplyDeleteNot if I have anything to do with it, SIR. Not on my watch.
ReplyDeleteWell said Brother Isiah. As the greatest of all rulers said," Let it be said. Let it be done". We finally have a president who will not be influenced by wealthy individuals or wealthy corporations. President Obama is his own man as they say. He knows where this country will stand in 4 years, 8 years and probably 12 and 16 years with constitutional changes. It is almost unbelieveable how a man of Obama's strength, intellect and foresight could emerge from the masses. He is definitely the chosen one to lead this world out of poverty, disease and discontent into a harmonous world of equality. His name will resonate like the sun's rays reaching every spot on this earth. God has chosen Obama as he chose Moses to do his work. Thus, he cannot fail his mission.
ReplyDeleteGood Lord, you guys are gone, over the top. I bet that tax exemption status is working good for you. You have mixed race with religion, your dillusional and I am done with you now. "Until we meet again"
ReplyDeleteyou have a nice evening and stay safe. Good-Night gentlemen.
One more thing maybe you should pay your verbal respects to Mrs Cane. It would be the respectful thing to do, dont you think "Pastor".
ReplyDeleteDoug, thank you for the title of elevation but I am not a man of the cloth, just a lawyer of color residing in Easton, working for a Washington law firm and a frequent visitor to Salisbury. I have visited and paid my respects and sent flowers. Have you done anything to express condolences?
ReplyDeleteI don't think your socialism is correct for this country. Where else has socialism/communism successfully worked
