How Did Cutting Off SBYNews Affect Us?

Well, let's take a good hard look at the numbers. First of all, Salisbury News hits are right where they were a week ago, honest to God. Nevertheless, our numbers are actually up.

On Wednesday we had 379 Comments. Thursday brought us 407 Comments. On Friday we had , (so far) 374 Comments. Mind you, we rejected hundreds of comments and death threats that didn't follow our rules on top of the numbers above.

Yeah Barrie and Chiefy See, you really smacked us hard. ROTFLMAO! I told you, no matter what you do any more, Salisbury News is so over the top with visitors every day, we're now the #1 News Source on Delmarva. Hey, I know what you can do. Pass legislation before the door hits you in the butt saying that ALL City of Salisbury Employees can't read SBYNews.com at home either! Then you'll REALLY see who's listening to you even more! 51 more days Barrie!

  1. I am a city employee and can access Sbynews at anytime. The Mayor has not blocked it.

  2. Someone said they didn't think all these comments were that many considering Wicomico County has 79,000 residents. Yes, I happen to agree with you Barrie.

However, go take a look at Michaels Site. Better yet, go look at your new friend Jonathan's Site. Jonathan writes 95% of his own comments under anonymous and still only gets an average of 2 comments per Post.

Let me close with this. Didn't you spout out we were only the Dirty Dozen? If YOU only knew our real numbers every day, your case would look even better because just look at how few people actually comment. I'll also remind EVERYONE to look at the Daily Times comments as well. They don't get jack either. We probably do at least 300% better in comments a day than they do.

Salisbury News Wins and reaches more than the Daily Times. 3 years ago the DT's had a circulation of 24,000 people a day. Considering there's 79,000 people just in WC alone, I'd say their numbers, (years ago) suck too, wouldn't you?

  3. Oh, by the way, do YOU believe they have a circulation still of 24,000 per day? I'd say it's at least half that now, if not lower.

  4. Turns out only the SFD has been cut off from Salisbury News.
