GANNETT STOCK VALUE CONTINUES TO SLIDE

Once again, Gannett Co., Inc. - (The Daily Times parent company) - set yet another record low today. The stock plummeted to $4.27/Share shattering yesterday's previous record low. In after hours trading, the stock value continues to decline.

The stock price has been plagued by declining ad sales revenue, sales volume, despite trying to shave personnel in an attempt to adjust to faltering market conditions. In addition, financial pressure from competing electronic media sources have contributed to the newspapers decline.

  2. This just in...Gannett revenues have increased dramatically today! The increrase was found to have come from the Delmarva Peninsula which is comprised of the states of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. It seems a misprint caused revenues to dramatically increase today, thus keeping the company solvent for now.

  3. My my how the mighty have fallen.

I've watched this stock go from $40/Share to where it is now. It has done this all in the last 12 months.

Once a stock reaches these levels -(penny status) - anything could happen.

  4. Does anyone know if The Daily Times is up for sale?

I noticed that they have moved from their old location.

  5. again with this stock. Is this the only news you have? this is old news. All print media stocks are going down. I dont think this is a shock to anyone.

Now, if they can figure out how to get themselves out of the hole and be able to figure out how to make money in the new electronic media.

I think that everyone in the "traditional" markets are trying to figure this out. This includes TV, Radio, Newspaper, Magazines, and books.

Gannett is not alone here. And because there is some dislike about how the DT handles itself, I think that most will agree that the posts regarding gannett's stock declining is really a waste of time. Especially when everyone out there can hit the same stock stickers and see for themselves.

They moved several months ago...where have you been?

And I must add, they moved to a place that people have a hard time finding them!
