BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!

There was just a shooting at the Md State Credit Union on Mt. Hermon Road. It was an alleged robbery attempt. They shot the victim 5 times in their van. More to come. EMS Units are on their way to the scene.

UPDATE: The suspect is a #1 male, (black) around 30 years old. 6 ft. tall. State Police, WCSO & SPD are on the scene. The SFD is transporting the victim right now. He was shot in the abdomen and leg. Police are searching Emery Court, Parkside Apartments. K-9 units were just brought in. Suspect is wearing a dark or black hoodie. The victim was using the ATM Maching in the back of the building. They just transported victim to PRMC followed by a Sheriff's Deputy.

There was also a serious stabbing in Salisbury last night. Yeah, crime is down!

UPDATE #2 The bank manager is on his way in to turn over the video surveillance tapes. We are told there are 5 exterior surveillance cameras. The suspect is still on the loose, all police agencies are on alert. The suspect is on foot with a small caliber handgun that was fired approximately 3 or 4 times. K-9 units are attempting to track the suspect. Tapes will reveal if there are additional suspects. Officer Cris Taylor's unmarked vehicle was struck while responding to code. It is my understanding no one was seriously injured.

UPDATE #3: The shooting victim was none other than Ted Shea from Wicomico County, Rick Pollitt's Office. I have spoken to two individuals who are with him right now. He is strong and doing just fine. I sent a message to him and asked him to be my Valentine. LOL

UPDATE #4: I'm told the Bank Manager can't turn the video tape over until tomorrow morning.

UPDATE #5: Word on the street is, the Bank Manager on call hasn't answered his phone. I'm told the SPD will get the tape in the morning instead. Let's just hope the SPD turns it over and or the best still shot they can get of the guy and allows us to Post it as well. The more people exposing this guy the better.

Send Ted a message here, tshea@wicomicocounty.org

UPDATE #6: This was all over a small amount of money in which Ted gave him and then he shot Ted anyway! If you have ANY information on this crime, call Crime Solvers at, 410-548-1776. They're offering a cash reward for any information that leads to the arrest of this scumbag.

  4. Shooting involving 1 victim.

SFD vehicles responding to the scene include

    Paramedic 1
    Paramedic 16
    Assistant Chief 1
    Engine 1
    Engine 16
    Squad 1

That is alot of equipment responding for only 1 patient. Those station 16 pieces weren't even dispatched on the call. That should be illegal.

  5. maybe the patient needed all that help

  6. Please keep us posted.

  7. hey a$$ hole, the 16 units responded because they needed 2 more paramedics. station 1 does have any besides the medic crew that was responding, mind your business. what if it was your mom.

  8. 7:34. Sounds like you have probably never been shot, like, 5 times before. Get ahold of yourself! For the record, if I am ever shot EVEN ONCE bring ALL that sh*%......and don't skimp on the morphine {I'll run a tab}.

  9. Shot in the Van? Damn that's got to hurt.

  18. All hell has broken loose in Salisbury. A shooting, hit and run accidents, a van fire, fire alarms, children choking. A citizen listening to his scanner spotted the guy who hit and ran at RT 13 & Vine St. SPD arrested suspect on E. Shore Dr. The City police and fire are earning their money tonight. Good job guys !

    ReplyDelete
  19. I hope the victim will be ok. Shame this had to happen but to shoot someone five times is way wrong in my book. IF Salisbury really did have any crime would the person of been shot twice as many times, Chief?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I sure hope the tapes give out enough information that this person/persons will be caught asap!

  21. Help is on the way...Vote for Jim and I am sure there will be help...I am sure there will be a change in the police, more of them, and a change in the chief...maybe get someone who lives in the city so he knows what's happening here! People we need to vote for a mayor who cares about the citizens of Salisbury..

  22. "Shot in the Van? Damn that's got to hurt."

Shot in the van 5 times while firing the only 3 or 4 times. Good trick.

  24. Why do people have to be so violent? I have people that apply for jobs that want status, they won't work for 8 - 12 dollars an hour, they want more, they's rather rob and shot innocent people or collect unemployement than work honestly.

  38. Heah, there you go, blame the victims! What an Idiot. Nevertheless, in case you hadn't noticed the new update, the person who was shot was Ted Shea. Ted works for Rick Pollitt in the GOB.

  39. WAKE UP CALL WAKE UP CALL

First a prayer for Ted Shea for full and speedy recovery.

SECU is not in a "bad" part of town. It happened when it wasn't that late.

If that Dolt Gary Comegys brags about crime being down one more time, tell him to shove it where the sun don't shine. He and his female clone, Barrie Tilghman, share in the blame for the rat hole they have let this city become.

    WAKE UP CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LET'S ALL GET OUR BUTTS IN GEAR TO GET IRETON IN AS MAYOR, the one candidate pounding on the crime issue, who has stuck his own neck out on, not just politically.

LET'S GET OUR BUTTS GOING FOR TIM CHANEY IN FOR DISTRICT 1. There are two things I know about this guy from talking to others. He lives with this crap day in, day out and isn't running to feed his ego or his face. Good enough for me!

LET'S GET OFF OUR BUTTS TO KEEP DEBBIE CAMPBELL IN. She is the one who has been fighting the good fight about dealing with crime head on while that Boda-come-lately has nothing new to say except "I support Gary."

IF EVER THERE WAS A WAKE UP CALL, SALISBURY, THIS IS IT!

EVERY DAMN ONE OF US should feel this to the core!

This isn't going to change with the sorry-___ council majority, current mayor and their supporters.

I haven't read the blog in a few days and thought hell, Joe will have something amusing up, think I'll check it out. I see this, and I see RED!

Mad as hell, Joe, and don't want to take it anymore! Elect the good people. Fire that nothing of a police chief. Give a go-getter everything he needs. Give Mike Lewis what he needs.

And let's take out the trash!

Sorry for the rant and caps. Sick to death of fearing for us to even go get milk after dark, let alone visit an ATM.

  42. As you are on the surgical table, just how many persons are around you? One, two, sometimes three docs and an anesthesiologist and his assistant, and a couple scrub nurses, and a circulating nurse, and a recording nurse......oh, yeah, that's okay, they're only making a small incision for elective surgery. But NOW, you're saying it's criminal to have extra medics for a victim with multiple gunshot wounds? You're saying it's criminal to have an officer there....or an engine or even two. How about trying the surgery with just 2 people...with you as the patient.

We, all of us I hope, try to do the best we can with what we have. Sometimes extra resources are requested but not needed...and sometimes I've wished that extra resources were available. Quit your llip music and get out here and help. Call your local Fire Dept and ask if you can volunteer your time as a firefighter or EMT. Call the hospital and ask if you can volunteer there. Use your extra energy for something worthwhile.

Thanks Joe for the ongoing updates. Sorry to have gone off but these attitudes are despicable.

Wicomico County get some balls. Salisbury is in the County!

  53. All the while we continue to legislate weapons for self-defense out of the hands of the law abiding and elect judges that let the criminals off easy. We are not allowed to defend ourselves, the police CAN'T defend us, and gangs rule the streets. Do you expect anything different to happen?
It's really our own fault this kind of thing continues to happen.

  55. Criminals are like cockroaches who hide in the dark. We live in a roach-infested city and must expect mayhem after dark at any and every ATM in a partially secluded location. Cameras are fine, but why do you think the perp wears a dark hood and dark clothing against dark hair and dark skin? It's not just to avoid detection by the victims.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wow. No wonder crime is rampant in Salisbury. Look at the attitude of the "taxpayer" here. Truly sad. This isn't about you and your stupid taxes. It's about a person's life.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yea it is not in a bad part of town, but it is within five walking two running minutes from one of the worst areas in the city. Church Street, Hammond Street, Priscilla Street, Moss Hill Apartments. There are no atm to rob people at in those areas so they have to venture out.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I bank at that SECU branch and try, at all cost, to avoid that ATM at night. IF I have to go I turn on my high beams and the interior light and drive around the back and front several times taking special note of all those trees on the east side and the on the Route 50 side. I guarantee that's where these punks are hiding and layng in wait. SECU needs to remove most, if not all of the trees surrounding that branch and light it up like a night game at Perdue Stadium. The nonsense would stop then and there.

  60. The people of this town should not have to run and hide when the sun goes down. I don't even like to take my trash to the curb at night and I'm a big guy. One of two things will happen to Salisbury. The people will fight to take back this town and get tough on crime (and that begins with the elementary schools and goes up to the police on the streets). Or, the thugs take over and people will leave this area like rats off a sinking ship. This election is very important in order for us to to take back Salisbury, otherwise I'm outta here. I'll sell my house to one of the slumlords who run this town and take my losses elsewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I hope and pray they post a picture of this guy.

People are already leaving this area, why else would you stay. Where is the promotion of growth, the promotion of bringing jobs, brining technology, bringing a spirit or working together. We need a leader that is not in it for the power or the self gain. We need a huge change NOW. Only we can make it. Please.
Unfortunately this is how things chnage here, when someone "high up", someone close to their home gets hurt and then the government changes.

What an Idiot..Maybe he had an emergency...or maybe he had to work all day and didn't have time to get to the atm. Whatever his reason for going to the Atm was is not the issue.. The issue is that an innocent man was shot...Crime is getting bad! It doesn't matter what time of day you go to the atm, you've gotta be on the look out for crazy people.

Wicomico county needs to impose a curfew .

  66. a curfew will not work...only law biding citizens will obey it..the criminals will still be out there doing theri thing. just like guns are blamed for the shooting when actually its the idiots behind the guns. Guns are actually what keeps lots of safe, if criminals knew their victims had a gun they would be quicker to leave them alone....we should be able to bear arms, the crime would go down. think about it. if i had a gun and u didnt who would the criminal go after? We need our constitutional rights back. Its going to get worse yet. The higher the unemployemnt rate the higher the crime will go. Get ready they will be coming into homes. You wont be safe anywhere. The jails will be safer. My thoughts and prayers are with you Ted Shea for i too use that bank, it could have been any of us, wrong place at the wrong time. God Bless.

Between the crime, nasty politics, and taxes its a wonder why anyone would live in the city.

  78. Having come from a HUGE metropolitan city with far less crime than this place I have noticed that the apologists here are outnumbering the reality seekers. For every one Salisbury resident there are 10 that make endless excuses as to why this area is the greatest place on earth. WAKE UP!! Salisbury is being run by these apologists and nothing will improve until someone without the blinders on comes in and cleans house. Salisbury offers nothing to anyone moving here. Jobs are nill, crime is high and why are housing prices so high, no wonder crime is what it is. $200k for a fixer-upper and rental homes out the wazoo. Apologists have found the key to happiness, ignorance and denial.

Hopefully the criminals will be caught and the injured recover.

  82. So any update on Ted Shea, and wha tis the story about SECU managers, did they refuse to come in, did they come in, is there a federal law saying that banks can't give out the video to cops? What is the truth? Update..

    ReplyDelete
  83. The update on Ted is that he is doing well. Surgery will be scheduled in the next day or two.

As for the Bank, there are conflicting stories about the Mgr. While I'm told from one department they never answered the phone I have been told by a different department they had someone on the phone last night. Your guess is as good as mine but I'll take the word of my source that they didn't show up because no video has been released to the Press that I'm aware of.

As far as a Federal Law, someone mentioned there are special circumstances like this one and while that may be true, you have to be able to get a hold of the Manager on call and that just didn't happen last night, so the answer to that question doesn't really matter at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Enough is enough, this wasn't some hispanic that got robbed and killed or a drug deal gone bad, not that they are any less important because they were murdered. Crime is crime and social status doen't matter anymore.

Ted Shea is a good man, I pray to God that he makes a 100% recovery and give strength to Ted's family. Now maybe someone will stand up and admit that the crime in Salisbury is running rampant.

City police leadership is at an all time low. I'm all for the officers who have their boots on the ground and they have my full support, however they haven't much for an example to look up to. Until something gets shaken up at SPD nothing will change except violent crime will continue to increase.

Anitra gave someone a ride out of the kindeness of her heart and was murdered by someone who wanted to know the experience of killing someone.
What will it take to get people to wake up.

  87. Mr.Twilley, Paramedic; I would more formally address the comments left by the Anonymous nasayer; but any real non pimple faced paramedic knows that David Twilley Does not Wash Big Red Trucks, "wallet card holder" lol...lets not comment on his wallet...lol...cards.. he is however an outstanding Paramedic, with more knowledge experience, and backbone than most...concerned public.. NO fireman, police officer, or Paramedic wants to go to a scene for a victim with multiple GSWs without additional resources available. The City of Salisbury has become burdened with violent crime and no one should be bitching about additional public saftey...now shhhhhh...unless you have something positive to say about the police dept or fire/ems dept... after reading the post in summary you people don't want to go outside at night bc you might get shot but you want one ambulance to respond to a scene in the dark with a guy who said he has been shot....????? AND then you don't want the paramedic to do anything for him when they get there, just throw him in the back and drive real fast to the hospital...???? okay...whatever..

  88. ANON:7:56PM -so depending on who the victim is makes it a major crime event.if a GOOD hispanic person gets shot, that makes it less of a crime.who defines a good man from a bad man YOU? ME?.that poor hispanic is loved the same by his family as a county official.that's the typical racist comment i would expect from someone like you.
