Through the proceeds from a 5K race held last May, our community helped raise the funds needed to attain a seizure response dog for our son Christopher. The support from our community was so overwhelming that the Mull family has decided to hold this race again to support a local project. The Everybody Playspace at Pinehurst Elementary School is a worthy cause and will benefit disabled children like Christopher. Please come run or walk along side of Christopher and his new dog as we continue to raise awareness for Dravet Syndrome and pull together as a community to make The Everybody Playspace a reality.
Pinehurst Elementary School in Salisbury, Maryland is seeking support to construct a safe and inclusive outdoor play environment tailored to the needs of disabled students. Currently students with special needs are unable to participate in many of the outdoor playground activities due to the lack of accessibility of the equipment. This professionally installed commercial grade play structure will be accessible for wheelchairs, walkers and all children. The updated playspace will be easy to understand thus allowing individuals to gain confidence through exploration, problem-solving, and discovery.
