Washington Post Article Ties 4 Suspects In Delmar Arrest To Wheaton Mall Shootings

The teenagers weren't thinking about last-minute holiday purchases when they pulled into the Montgomery County shopping mall two days before Christmas. Instead, one of the teens later told police, the group went to the crowded mall to randomly shoot someone.

"Bust them!" Taylor, known as "Kchaos," is alleged to have said upon seeing the rivals, members of the MS-13 gang.

  1. I left Monkey County in 2000 because of that kind of stuff,we lived 1/2 mile from that mall, and now to think it followed us here.
No we don't have gangs on Delmarva!!!!
and for those of you who are going to get angry, Monkey County has always been a nickname for Montgomery County!same as Monkey Wards!

  3. Outstanding story and great reporting. All the dots connect in this case. Great work on the part of all the police agencies involved. The streets are safer with these thugs behind bars. This is proof of what Sheriff Lewis says about gang activity in the area. It may not be home grown, but its out there.

  4. yet another example of Our great sheriff and our local MSP officers doing great police work and keeping us all safe with their constant vigilance. now if only the SPD could do as good a job... oh that's right, there is no crime in Salisbury.

  5. I hope this sends a message loud and clear to all those thugs across the bridge. They need to know they can't play their games here in Wicomico County our police forces are relentless and will bring them down.

Good job DSP, SPD, WCSO, MSP and any other agency involved in rounding these criminals up. Now send their butts to Jessup where they belong.

I remember it used to be called Wheaton Plaza. It was almost like the downtown plaza in Salisbury with stores on both side and no covering in the middle. Wow thats been yearssss ago.

Yes I remember the open plaza, we lived at the corner of Georgia & Forest Glen from 1980 till 2000 and watched Wheaton go downhill especially after Metro opened Stations at Forest Glen and Wheaton.
Our neighbors were robbed and they actually caughts the perps on the metro train going back to D.C. with their stolen property

  12. I quess they werent just a bunch of kids huh, That situation could of been alot worse. I bet if they were left un-checked eventualy a person would of died. The cops saved someones life when they stopped that little kaotic spree. Pictures are deceiving sometimes...

  13. I am glad they are off the streets. I hope the judicial system puts them away for a long long time. Another solution is to stop chasing them. Tell them to halt, and if they don't shoot them. That will save Maryland taxpayers $45,000 per year for each of them to be housed in our prisons. After all, as young as they are, this is probably not their first brush with the law. Why should we house these individuals and pay for them? Lets treat them like the criminals they are, and have proven to be. A thief is a thief and a criminal is a criminal. Home invasions need to be settled too. NRA gives homeowners the right to protect their property and their families, as well as the Constitutional rights.

My grandparents live right off Georgia Ave in Glenmont, right around the corner from the park. For the life of me I can't remember the name of it, but old mcdonalds farm was back there along with a train and lots of neat stuff I loved as a kid. Apartments were build surrounding my grandparents house and in came trouble and they eventually sold it. I heard they put in more apartments now.

YES I remember the name of the park now. I was coming to post that I remembered it lol. I dont remember the other things you mentioned I was young at the time. I do remember the A&P at the corner and the buster brown store there. I used to walk there with my granddad. I do remember going to KFC and getting a bucket and going to the park many times. Fat mans pizza was right across the street from my grandparents. We moved from the Glenmont area to Howard county in 68 when I was 2 but my dad still worked in Silver Spring. I still have family around that area but it changes every time we go up. We also used to go to a park...sligo creek maybe? Like I said its been years

  19. Anon 10:52, just curious did you bother to read the story in the Washington Post? This was not a one county bust, it wasn't even a one state bust for that matter! Not just local MSP or Wicomico Co. busted these people, it was law enforcement and detectives from several counties that had a hand in busting these dum dum's. This whole bunch combined have a brain the size of a peanut so it didn't take geniuses to catch them any how, they left an obvious trail starting at the mall all the way through until they got busted in Delmar!

It must really suck to be so stupid one can't given get crime even close to right!!
