Suze Orman Gives Advice About Sucking on the Crack Pipe of Phantom Home Equity

Talk about being in complete denial of a bad real estate market, this realtard's income dropped from $136,000.00 in 2007 to less than $40,000.00 in 2008. She has a first, second and third mortgage (for the pool) because she thought that real estate could never go down in value.

These are the same people that were giving you financial advice telling you to make millions using "liar loans" to buy real estate you could not afford just so they could chalk up one more commission.

  1. As a Realtor of many years, and having served with and worked with many Realtors, I feel both compelled and entitled to speak to your post.

The vast majority of people who make their living as Realtors are professional, knowledgable, repected, contributing members of their communities. They put in long hours to do a good job, and serve the public with integrity.

Financial advice should come from a financial adviser. Realtors are required to be knowledgable about the property, and the real estate market.

Loans ("liar" or otherwise)for the purchase of real estate are placed thru bankers or mortgage originators. Not Realtors.

There are opportunities for people with bad intent in every profession. It would seem that regardless of who gives what advice, common sense should be involved. If someone borrows money, for instance, they should expect to have to pay it back. Just because you're told that you CAN borrow, doesn't mean you should. And being stupid, as this real estate agent apparently has found out, is no excuse.

  2. Realtors, You gotta be kidding me. What does your proffession do, lets think...You dont build anything, you dont front your money for anything, you dont assemble anything, you dont manufacture anything, you dont design anything, you dont risk anything. What you do is pick up crumbs from other peoples hard work and financial risk. Most of you are in bed with a loan company or bank to begin with. Your ridiculous commisions have been ripping people off for years. Your crumb picker-uppers, thats what you are. I think its a shameful proffession and one day soon all this will be done on-line. Then realtors will obsolete.

  4. If you can't afford your home or owe a bill you can't pay, then its your own fault. This post is a perfect example of a person that is so materialistic, and dependant on having things as a symbol of statue that she is willing to lose everything then to let it go. This mentality is a part of the reason America is in the situation it is in.

  6. Well, Hi- De- Ho, good neighbor! I could never have been matched up with the home I bought without a lot of good footwork by my real estate agent. With the Multiple listing service and the Sunday home showcase on TV, I was able to shop a lot of homes in a short time, and was abl to find an extremely great deal after comparing all the apples and oranges. That hard work deserves a commission on the sale.

  7. Why blame the realtors? The people buying the property should know if they can truly afford it or not. It's not the realtors place to police them.
Too many people bought homes they could not afford...and I believe that most of them knew exactly what they were doing.
Sometimes, common sense has to come into play and when it doesn't, things like this happen.

To those who bought more than they could afford, I don't feel one bit sorry for you losing your house. You should have known better.

When I bought my home, I was approved for $30,000 more than what I was paying. That didn't make me go out and buy an even more expensive house because I knew I would have to struggle to make that higher payment. Now I have a payement with taxes and insurance which is affordable to me and I don't have to struggle to put the funds together each month.

    Use some common sense people!
