MAJOR BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Depart & WBI not only FOUND Anitra Pirkle's vehicle early this morning, they staked out the surrounding area in the hopes the suspects were somewhere close by and sleeping. The vehicle was found in the Princeton Street area of Salisbury.
Low and behold, just moments ago, 2 suspects went directly to the vehicle, unlocked it and attempted to get in and drive away. They were immediately arrested and detained. The suspects are 1 Male and 1 Female.
The Sheriff's Department has them in custody under a charge of a stolen vehicle. More to come.......
What a bunch of idiots.
ReplyDeleteThey were asking to get caught.
WBI are the very best in the business! Great work. One more to go.
ReplyDeleteGood. Lock em up.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought but WBI is the Sheriff's Office and other members of law enforcement. Not Sheriff's Office and WBI......Another great job guys
ReplyDeleteWBI, (Wicomico Bureau of Investigation) has Officers from the Maryland State Police, The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and the Salisbury Police Department.
ReplyDeleteI hope they get what they deserve!! No one deserves to go through that.I knew her and she was a wonderful person. She had a good heart and had so much going for her.
ReplyDeleteWOO HOO!!! 2 down, 1 to go! Good job, guys!
ReplyDeleteI just told a friend that Mike Lewis would have them in custody before son down. Great job Sheriff.....
ReplyDeleteSPD DOES NOT have anyone in WBI.
ReplyDeleteraid that whole st...while they're down there
ReplyDeleteI dont think the Salisbury Police Department has any detectives in WBI
ReplyDeleteFrom what I'm told, the Delmar FD and EMS task did a magnificent job and practiced at best to save this young child. God Bless the family and the safety personnel.
ReplyDeleteThis so sad, 25 years old and just starting life. Whats wrong with people today? Do they value anything? Trial and conviction and then hang em from a aerial truck so the rest of the THUGS get the point. Some people are never going to add anything to society, they will just take and take until theres nothing left. Hug your kids and be aware of where they are and who their with at all times.
ReplyDeletePeople need to remember those angers. I bet the people who commited this crime have a past criminal history. As long as society allows this behavior, and lets baby the criminals, things will get worse. The laws are fine as written but there is no true sentencing and lets give everyone good time credit. Victims don't get good time, or a choice. Criminals make a choice. What a shame for the victims family and the community. When will everyone have enough of this criminal total disregard for society and standards?
ReplyDeleteThey'll probably get 25 years with 10 suspended, then with time off for good behavior be back on the street in 8 years.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't want that to happen, fight / lobby / demand tougher laws with harsh penalties!
Joe, you might want to double check that. I don't think the SPD is part of WBI?
ReplyDeletewere they handcuffed by their hands, feet or tails?
ReplyDeleteWBOC just reported @ noon that "No arrests have been made in this case"
ReplyDeleteanonymous 12:37,
ReplyDeleteElizabeth Harrington must not be working today, that's all. Without her they're nothing.
Who can kill another human and then steal their car to drive home and go to sleep? Not people I want runnning loose.
ReplyDeleteWhere are the names?

Joe awesome reporting. As for the nay sayers suck it up the man gets it down. As W.B.I. awesome job. As for EMS and Delmar, Sheriff's Road Dogs that handled this call out of the box awesome work. A lot went on in this county last night as most of you slept in your warm beds. All I can say is, all the Officers in and around this county do a great job. There are no SPD units on WBI it would be great if they where. W.B.I. and SISU kicked some ass on this one. Big Joe G and his crew came in to town.
ReplyDeleteFor those that don't know, SISU is the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit led by Joe Gamble. Hence the reference to SISU and Joe G. They responded and were an integral part of the investigation as always. Again, a team effort from the Sheriff's Dept., Maryland State Police, Delmar Police, Delmar FD and EMS and Wicomico COunty as a whole.
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right, Joe! Anon. 12:41 is a jerk. I know that I appreciate you and this blog for giving the "real news" quickly (and not 2 days later like other forms of media in Salisbury do). You are giving us the information that you are given.
ReplyDeletethanks joe... when i commented about WBOC, i figured it was something along those lines. once again, SBY News has it 1st!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, lol @ Joe...
ReplyDeleteSecond, Yay to blutoj for her 12:40 wisdom.
Third, as someone who lives within sight of where this poor girl was dumped out to die, WTF?????
This poor thing probably left her job, stopped for a milk shake on her way home, and perhaps gave a ride to someone who killed her for her car. This really really really shows us that we've hit bottom. I didn't know her, but I have a daughter who was out last night, and COULD have also wanted a milk shake from the Tastee Freez.
It COULD have been my child. It could have been your child. We must fix this or none of us will ever be safe again.
OK, OK, OK, UNCLE!
ReplyDeleteSo the SPD is NOT involved with WBI, SOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRY!
Not that many of the Salisbury Veteran Officers wouldn't qualify, because they would.
They kidnapped her in the City of Salisbury and may have even assaulted her in Salisbury, we must NOT forget that.
LADIES, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND AS THEM HOW YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR SUCH A THING.
Another poor victim of a liberal legislature who took away our God given right to defend ourselves.
ReplyDeleteMy defense is a Glock, model 21, with vintage black talons for the largest possible permanent wound cavity.
It's the only justice scum like that will ever see.
this is why Wicomico County needs a single unified police force....
ReplyDeletedon't believe that BS Wicomico county will loose $ by SPD being disbanded. It's time for a single force under one command.
I agree that we have hit a all time low. I noticed that within a 3 block radius of the place where the body was dumped, there is a Wic Co Sheriff, a Fruitland officer and a Ocean City police officer living in that immediate area. If these guys will drop bodys this close to cops homes, this is without a doubt, a ALL TIME LOW!!!
ReplyDeleteI will pray for this young girls family. May jesus bless her family the strenght and will power to get through this tough trying time. I encourage all of you guys who read this blog, which i might add is a great informational source, to pray for her family and begin taking extra steps to secure your home and family.
When you are out shopping, look over your car and walk with others. This county is in dier need of some more officers and cutting back on crime
The Sheriff of this county needs to treat it like a war zone. Take no prisoners.
ReplyDeleteMartial Law. nobody out after midnight.
ReplyDeleteRelax everyone..you will be protected..barack is gonna fix everything COUGH COUGH
ReplyDeleteI know a simple solution for future events like this one, get a gun! End this crap!
ReplyDeleteJoe Gamble of MSP SISU is the man!! He has been featured many times on Court TV in Forensic Files for his great work in the State of Maryland. And his is an incredible investigator. Way to Go JOE and your crew. You guys are great!!
ReplyDeleteI am sad for this girl and her family. This proves to me that the "right to bear arms" should be a no brainer. I would rather be caught with a gun or protection than without these days!
ReplyDeleteThis is so outrageous! Anitra had just overcame so much. God Bless her soul.God will handle them!!
ReplyDeletei pray that God gives this family the peace & strength they need to deal with this, also may God bring those murderers to justice. May God have mercy on her soul and rest in the palm of his hand. I also pray that the justice system will work this time, most of the time anymore it doesnt. Good job in catching them. It could have just as easy for it to have been any of us or our daughters. Joe please keep us posted as to what happens with this case.
ReplyDeleteLalou
I am so glad they caught these murderers! I use to work at a prison(ECI), I hope they get the death penalty! Because in prison, they will have it too easy! Hell, prisoners have cable in their cells and the taxpayers of Maryland pay for it. Our last governor had cable installed to keep the prisoners in their cells to watch TV & keep them quiet. And they are still stabbing each other in prison!
ReplyDeleteGod bless the family in their time of grief. My heart goes out to them.
She was a co-worker of mine, she will be sadly missed and her loss is tragic.
ReplyDeleteRural America AKA the Eastern Shore has certainly changed over the years. So little is safe and such a death is a needless waste of precious life.
This is the first "LIFE WITH NO PAROLE" that I can remember in Wico-Mico county in decades, I may be wrong but I dont think so, Hammer their asses Davis. You have got to start sending a message to these less then desirable members of our society that this is OVER. Have the little meeting with the judges or whatever you all do, but SEND THE MESSAGE buddy. I know you have it in you, Ive seen it, remember? You have carachter no matter what anyone says.
ReplyDeleteDamn thier kids, never saw that coming. Now you gotta wave them up to properly punish them. Wasted Lives, I quess you gotta remind yourself who the victom is. Seems like a tragic loss no matter how you see it. All I know for sure is that I care more about the poor girl that is gone then I do these lost children. How do you keep your eye on the ball? Whats wrong with our society?
ReplyDelete6:06:
ReplyDeleteHopefully God will allow us to intervene...first.
I'm sure glad crime is down 15% can you just imagine how bad it can be if people went out after dark?
ReplyDeleteA lot of arrests are being made, however how do we relieve these problems for good? We the people's neighborhood's from where ever we roam must join together and walk our streets hand in hand until we can walk them every night!
Take no prisoners
