If you kept your kids home from school today because of the Inauguration, you weren't the only one.

  1. Beautiful kids.

    Beautiful post.

    Keep it up, EarlsSister.

Good to see positive stuff on here.

Listening to Satchmo singing "What a Wonderful World."

Even with all that's wrong, there's so much that's right.

  2. I can't take credit for this post. Two Sentz pulled the photo and put it up there. I will agree though, they are two beautiful little girls.

Give people time, everyone needs a little time when there is major change on the wind. The winds will calm and so will people.

  8. I think it was great to ee these children watch their father make history. Give it a rest it is what it is. I hope he can pull off the miracle and I did not vote for him. I thunk it was time for change let us see what happens. If he does what the locals do and not keep his word lets can his butt. I still our local problems are just as large. I want an honest poltician to step up to the plate. Cannon has truly let me down. Anyone that votes for this man unless he to can pull off a miracle is jsut plan crazy.

  11. The big difference here is keeping your kids out of school to prevent them from being exposed to the event, or keeping them out of school to ATTEND the event....or maybe watch it WITH you. Something this special should be shared, if at all possible.

  13. Thanks for the kind words.

10:46, MelissaW, 9:43, I'm sorry you missed the point of the post.

To anyone else doesn't want their kids "exposed" to American history, "forced" to watch an African American being sworn in as President, I suggest you not celebrate this July 4th since slaves and freed black men fought for the freedom of this country along side whites.
