Ammunition Accountability Act

The second amendment gives us the right to keep and bear arms but it would seem the anti-gun people are finding a way around that. It would seem that they are trying to make it difficult for you to get ammunition for the guns you have the right to own.

The 2008 Legislative session has begun, and the Ammunition Accountability Act is being introduced across the country. Below is a summary of legislation that has been introduced throughout the United States. Note that Maryland is among one of those states.

  1. So what happens when you go to the shooting range and leave your spent brass all over the place? Next thing you know someone will pick that up and throw it around some crime scene effectively leaving your calling card right there. What about reloading? Talk about some idiot politicians!!!

  2. Is there anyone out there interested in starting a eastern shore malitia? If the goverment wont protect us then were going to have to do it ourselves.

  3. The NRA warned everyone about the incoming Gov's plans. They want bullets incripted, it wont help where thieves n thugs are concerned. They want the cost of ammo and taxes on it to increase 500% thereby being unaffordable, thereby making gun owners defenseless. It's not aimed at the crooks and thieves, its intent is to make the true patriots defenseless, when the time comes.

  5. It's Time For Change. Time for you to think out side the box. Let Government tend to government things. It's a NEW YEAR, with CHANGE. Don't be afraid, trust, live, and hug a stranger. If we all hold hands and sing Kum Ba Ya,the world would be a better place. Come on Eastern Shore; YES WE CAN!!!
Ps: If you try to hug me or hold my hand, I'll slap ya.

  6. Why do people think they need guns? Just call 911 if you are in danger. Our fine public servants will be happy to kill the bad guys for you.

  7. This can be a great tool to keep the amunition away from people who are legally not aloud to own guns. Again this is one of those things that make it more hoops for the good guys to go through, but it can be a good tool for law enforcement.

  8. .....not when the bad guys are the ones paying the public servants...
...not when you refuse to pay 90% taxes
....not when you refuse to bow to him, or allow your children to..
...not when you refuse to give up your constitution and your flag
...not when you refuse to stop worshiping God
    ...not when you refuse to take the mark on your arm or forehead {so they can keep track of your taxes and your government rations}

  9. Oh lord, the brainwashing has begun. My advise to anyone that owns guns, stock up on all your ammo needs now. The koolaid is running from the faucets.

  10. I'll call 911 right after I make sure the perp isn't breathing any longer. This will allow the police time to run out and protect those that are to afraid to protect themselves.

  11. 3:37pm....do you really think crooks buy their guns and ammo from stores? They steal them or buy from black markets. This is about making ammo so expensive NO honest law abiding people can afford to buy them. "a good tool for law enforcement"?????
Yeah, they'll be able to track down where the ammo was stolen from....

YES THEY DO. I am 100% positive they do. Without a doubt.

Plus think about if I am a felon and I am not aloud to buy and I get my thug buddy who has not been charged with a felony yet and then the purchased goods are used in a shooting. Law Enforcement goes down the list and see "Thug Buddy" on the list...connection is made and then he/she is a person to go after and charge him with accessory to murder or attempted whichever applies and hope they will give you who actually used the items. It works, but law enforcement has to have information to work with. Let me confirm again...I am 100% positive they do buy the ammunition from local places.
Again it is ashame that the good guys have to jump through hoops because of what the bad guys did.

  13. The purpose of the second ammendment is to give the people an opportunity to protect themselves from THE GOVERNMENT!!! Wake up!!!

  14. Imprinting bullets will in no way find a perp. There are too many possibilities of theft, he bought it for me, I found these, I stole these, I didn't even know it was loaded, etc. There's already laws that register gun serial numbers, but if that gun is stolen and used in a crime, the cops are looking for the wrong person, a victim of a theft, instead of the perp. This is a generation of yet another government entity that will fail to correct anything, and cost the taxpayer more useless money.
    By the way, it's:
    "advice" not advise
    "allowed", not aloud
    "a shame" not ashame

  15. those arent hoops, they gunna make it imposible for the average law abiding citizen to get any.....to make you job easyier...sacrificing my freedoms...then they'll be out on the street again in no time...yet we will forever loose our freedom

  16. I hope people think very hard about this act, this is crazy!! Do you really think criminals are going to use a bullet with "their number" on it? NOT! They will use a bullet that is tied to a law abiding citizen. And do you really think that the people that already have ammo are going to dispose of it???? NOT!! I think that the government needs to do a little more research.
