Is PolitickerMD Starting to Show Its Blue Stripes?

I like PolitickerMD.  I try to read it everyday.  I may not agree with everything I read there, but those folks provide coverage you often can't get anywhere else (online or off).  Whether I agree with their op-ed pieces or not, they are usually well written and fairly well thought out.  However, today the good folks at Observer Media Group crossed a line - a pretty big one.

In an op-ed titled "Andy Recycles, Who Knew?", author David Paulson attacks Maryland Senator Andy Harris across the board.  Sometimes he's factually correct other times he isn't.

It's an op-ed, so normally I wouldn't care.  There's just one problem.  David Paulson is the Communications Director for the Maryland Democratic Party and PolitickerMD doesn't bother to disclose the fact anywhere in the body of the article.  Read More ...

Frank Kratovil - One Endorsement Says It All

This morning's formal endorsement of liberal Democrat Frank Kratovil by Salisbury Mayor Barrie Tilghman speaks volumes.  Kratovil is Tilghman's kind of candidate.  Let's look at Barrie Tilghman's record as Mayor and examine if First District voters can afford Barrie Tilghman's "kind of candidate".

Crime is through the roof in Salisbury.  Sadly, when we finish this year Salisbury could have the highest homicide rate in the country.  There is no question that it will be one of the highest.  Charm City ain't got nothin' on Barrie.

Tilghman responded to a growing crime rate by closing all of the police substations in the city - save one.  That one happens to be down the street from where she and her husband have made commercial investments.  Frank Kratovil is her kind of candidate.

While city services have declined, Barrie Tilghman has seen fit to raise taxes.  Why?  So that she can grow the bureaucracy of her office.  Under Tilghman, Salisbury even has an Obama-style "community organizer" on the payroll.  We all expect that to come in real handy for Tilghman during next year's mayoral election.  Frank Kratovil is her kind of candidate.  Read More ...

Joe the Plumber ...Obama Victim

I was reading this article today on Lame Cherry, which is an extremely opinionated blog, that has lots and lots of documented 'dirt' on the Chosen One.
I found this blog a couple of months ago when I Googled something else and a reference was made to this blog.
Apparently, this guys has been doing his homework on Obama, and he doesn't like him, not one little bit.

In yesterdays article Joe the Plumber was his subject, and he is highlighting the life changing events that Joe has endured since Obama got out of his car and stood on his front lawn (uninvited).

Since Joe made the fatal mistake of asking Obama about his Marxist plan for America, and then proceeded to stump and mystify the Chosen One; now a private citizen is being investigated up one side and down another.

All of Joe's personal information has been gone through. His business information, including his lack of a plumbers liscense (You don't need one in Ohio), even his union records and his Union bossess have been asked about him and his entire life is up for public dissemination by the likes of Harry Smith and Katie Couric!

This is a private citizen folks! He is not a public official, and is no means a celebrity. He is an average guy who happened to have the Presidential Candidate choose his yard to stop at thinking it would be a great photo op for him to be speaking with a middle class white guy.

Now Joe's world is upside down. This was even in Friday's Delmarva Now!

A Letter To The Editor

Election is around the corner and much is at stake. Most Americans voters have already decided who they will vote for President and who they will send to Congress. I am just like many other Americans who are affected by the daily politics from both major political parties. I don’t like McCain and I am not impressed with Obama, neither has demonstrated enough credentials to lead our country in this time of financial crisis; both play politics as usual and try to present a plan that may attract voters’ attention, but they seem to forget about checks and balances in our government, which means that whatever they promise today may not be approved by Congress when one become the President.

The national media and its local affiliations practically have decided who they want in the White House, but they do not put into consideration that regardless of how their “electoral map” may look like today, it is the American people who on November 4 will make that patriotic decision.

For many Hispanics the major issue is immigration reform, but to me, our economy, national security, and education are more important; the rest can simply be put on hold. This demonstrates that being from a particular ethnic background does not necessarily mean we are all united in what we think is best for our country and who would better represent us in Washington whether it is in the White House or in Congress.

I know there will be sore losers from both major political parties after the election is over. Here in the Eastern Shore, I am almost certain that those who chose Andy Harris over Wayne Gilchrest will have their heartburn if Frank Kratovil is elected, but they simply cannot understand that democracy comes first, and it is the majority of the people who have the final say on who they want to send to Washington. Hence, I highly recommend that they accept the outcome and keep in mind about how strong this country is when everybody puts politics aside and try to work together as a nation.

Now, who I will vote for is another story. I just wish the partisan politics would play no role during this time, but that is just a wish. As a responsible voter and taxpayer I cannot give a blank check to the White House and Congress. Hence, despite of how much I dislike John McCain, I will vote for him; Obama offended many Hispanics during his keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2004. Many have forgotten some of his comments about Hispanic issues; I do not forget nor would I vote for someone who directly and indirectly stated his lack of interest of working with my people until he decided to run for president.

For Congress, it is my belief that Frank Kratovil will do a better job for our district. Wayne Gilchrest during most of his tenure showed interest in working with people from different ethnic and cultural background and crossed party lines for the best of the general population while infuriating the local conservative elites. My vote will go for Mr. Kratovil for two reasons: we need representatives that work for the people and who are not afraid of working in a bipartisan manner.

Top 8 Morons of 2008.....so far

1. WILL THE REAL DUMMY PLEASE STAND UP?
AT&T fired President John Walter after nine months, saying he lacked
intellectual leadership. He received a $26 million severance package.
Perhaps it's not Walter who's lacking intelligence.

2. WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS
Police in Oakland, CA spent two hours attempting to subdue a gunman
who had barricaded himself inside his home. After firing ten tear gas
canisters, officers discovered that the man was standing beside them
in the police line, shouting, 'Please come out and give yourself up.'

3. WHAT WAS PLAN B???
An Illinois man, pretending to have a gun, kidnapped a motorist and
forced him to drive to two different automated teller machines,
wherein the kidnapper proceeded to withdraw money from his own bank
accounts.

4. THE GETAWAY!
A man walked into a Topeka , Kansas Kwik Stop and asked for all the
money in the cash drawer. Apparently, the take was too small, so he
tied up the store clerk and worked the counter himself for three hours
until police showed up and grabbed him.

5. DID I SAY THAT???
Police in Los Angeles had good luck with a robbery suspect who just
couldn't control himself during a lineup. When detectives asked each
man in the lineup to repeat the words: 'Give me all your money or I'll
shoot', the man shouted, 'that's not what I said!'

6. ARE WE COMMUNICATING???
A man spoke frantically into the phone: 'My wife is pregnant and her
contractions are only two minutes apart'. 'Is this her first child?'
the doctor asked. 'No!' the man shouted, 'This is her husband!'

7. NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHED!!!
In Modesto, CA, Steven Richard King was arrested for trying to hold up
a Bank of America branch without a weapon. King used a thumb and a
finger to simulate a gun. Unfortunately, he failed to keep his hand in
his pocket. (hellooooooo)!

8. THE GRAND FINALE!!!
Last summer, down on Lake Isabella , located in the high desert, an
hour east of Bakersfield , CA , some folks, new to boating, were having
a problem. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get their
brand new 22 foot boat, going. It was very sluggish in almost every
maneuver, no matter how much power they applied. After about an hour
of trying to make it go, they putted into a nearby marina, thinking
someone there may be able to tell them what was wrong. A thorough
topside check revealed everything in perfect working condition The
engine ran fine, the out-drive went up and down, and the propeller was
the correct size and pitch. So, one of the marina guys jumped in the
water to check underneath. He came up choking on water, he was
laughing so hard.
NOW REMEMBER...THIS IS TRUE.
Under the boat, still strapped securely in place, was the trailer!

Vote

PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is qualified. Apparently the left wing knew about this in advance and are flooding the voting with NO votes. The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters in swing states.
Please do two things -- it takes 20 seconds.

1) Click on the link and vote YES! ... vote on several computers.

Here's the link:

http://www.pbs.org/now/polls/poll-435.html

2) Then send this to every McCain-Palin supporter you know, and urge them to vote and pass it on. The last thing we need is PBS saying their viewers don't think Sarah Palin is qualified.
