Frank Kratovil - One Endorsement Says It All

This morning's formal endorsement of liberal Democrat Frank Kratovil by Salisbury Mayor Barrie Tilghman speaks volumes.  Kratovil is Tilghman's kind of candidate.  Let's look at Barrie Tilghman's record as Mayor and examine if First District voters can afford Barrie Tilghman's "kind of candidate".

Crime is through the roof in Salisbury.  Sadly, when we finish this year Salisbury could have the highest homicide rate in the country.  There is no question that it will be one of the highest.  Charm City ain't got nothin' on Barrie.

Tilghman responded to a growing crime rate by closing all of the police substations in the city - save one.  That one happens to be down the street from where she and her husband have made commercial investments.  Frank Kratovil is her kind of candidate.

While city services have declined, Barrie Tilghman has seen fit to raise taxes.  Why?  So that she can grow the bureaucracy of her office.  Under Tilghman, Salisbury even has an Obama-style "community organizer" on the payroll.  We all expect that to come in real handy for Tilghman during next year's mayoral election.  Frank Kratovil is her kind of candidate.  Read More ...

  1. Question:

Does Barrie support (publicly) Obama-Biden, too?

    And how about Bubba Comegys?

  2. There's another endorsement saying it all this morning, isn't there?

Working on a post about that?

  3. Use it or lose it, if the city isn't going to use the police sub-stations they need to be sold as surplus and purchase a vehicle like the county Mobile Command Unit where they are free to move to the problem locations where crimes are happening.

Open a police sub station and the crime will just move somewhere else.

  4. Barrie Tilghman supports whomever she thinks is going to help her, period. So she is probably thinking IF this guy wins, she can get a job or something. Now that's a frightning thought!!!!

  5. Is the SPD equipt to use night vison? If not they should be. Those are things we need more than a booth at the Tawes Crab Feast.

  6. Enough said. I'm voting fot the other guy.

  7. Tim, the sub station in the Newtown area has already been sold and is now a rental. Didn't take them long to unload that piece of property and put it on the rental rolls, did it?

  8. There are plenty of nice people who support Kratovil.

Barrie should just keep her mouth shut. Nobody cares who she endorses.

Tim Chaney, just FYI, the SPD HAS a mobile sub-station. I remember it from the broo-ha-ha a year ago. As you can see, it hasn't done a thing.

"Old-fashioned" sub-stations have been brought back in many places because, wow, they worked.

  9. It's not important whether Barrie endorses Kratovil.

Now, if he endorsed HER, then I'd say there's reason to go WTF.

Sometimes, you can't help who likes you. Or thinks they'll get something out of endorsing you.

  10. Why am i getting Kratovil mailers saying he is independant, then my son got one saying he's a democrat.
looks to me like he is saying one thing to some people and another to others.

  11. WHY?

Because Frank Kratovil is a f/n lawyer, that's why.

Show me ONE lawyer truthful and honest.

  12. If my house were engulfed in flames, and Barrie endorsed a nearby bucket of water ... well, I reckon I'd just let damn the house burn down.

  13. Joe, I just find this so disingenious, lawyer or not. No wonder the mayor is backing him, who else is?

  15. I heard Kratovil is having a "Barrie" moment & demanding another retraction. This time from Barrie: Say it isn't so - she didn't say it - I didn't hear it....

  16. lmao here..lawyer ..truthful and honest in the same sentence?
Isn't that an oxymoron or what ever it is called? Kind of like a semi boneless steak. Is there a bone in it or not?

  17. What respect do citizens have for Barrie Tilghman any more anyway?

Frank Kratovil has to be completely desperate to get such an endorsement, seriously.

There isn't a single democrat out there that can say they respect such an announcement, other than a Lawyer like Frank.

Quite honestly, I'm extremely disappointed that Frank would allow such a thing. Kind of like McCain staying away from Bush, this is stupid.

Oh well, thanks Barrie, seriously. Think of all those democrats that will cross party lines because you had to open your fat trap and screw up anything Frank had left in Salisbury.

Between Barrie Tilghman and that Idiot Wayne, (I never have my office open any more) Gilchrest, it's in the bag for Andy Harris now.

  18. Who's supporting Harris:
Lowell stoltzfus, along with every state senator in the entire district, Lewis Riley, Mike Lewis, Jim perdue, James dobson and the list goes on. Now here are outstanding individuals whom I trust to make the right choice.

  19. I know tilgman is a democrat, but there is a lot of us who aern't very impressed with her choice.

  20. I emailed Kratavil that I was going to vote for him UNTIL I saw Barrie's endorsement--now I will NOT vote for him because she has endorsed him. Too bad, Barrie brings nothing positive to those whom she chooses to tag.

Email Kratovil and tell him Barrie is a negative.

  21. How nice. Now Barrie can get the backing of all those radical environmentalists despite all her raw sewage problems.

  22. G.A. she'll also need another slick lawyer to work on the mayor election.

  24. The city has a command unit? They should bring it to our next neighborhood association's block party on November the 8th so people can see it, like the county did in the spring. People want to see what useful resources their tax dollars provide. Where is it parked?

I will e-mail SPD and request it if it possible.
