Folks, there are so many comments coming in every day it is VERY difficult to weed through each and every one of them and completely understand what they mean some times.
I'd like you to please take a moment and think about this. Some of you know your inside tips to one and other and even two letter names like, (for example) TM and so forth. For what it's worth, I don't know who that is, nor do I know who the others are that nickname themselves such two letter names. I'm sure you expect me to know but with all due respect, I don't take the extra time to figure it out.
Now you might be asking yourself, why is Joe making up such a Post? Because many of these people are Firefighters and or Police Officers and it saddens me because although you all think I know who you are, I don't. I do NOT at all intentionally allow comments up that may offend one or even all of you. Yet I get personal e-mail messages or even comments on here and at the end of the comment, (which happens to be a personal message to me) asking me not to post it. I don't bite and I do NOT post any comment anyone asks me not to. So just send me an e-mail and if there's something I've allowed through and it belongs being removed, believe me, I'll remove it.
Man, it's tough doing this but seriously, think about all the Posts, the running around I do for all the news and information and then fielding all those comments that come in. Certainly some are going to slip through and for that I'm truly sorry. I am absolutely PRO POLICE and PRO FIREFIGHTERS. However, if someone screws up, it's my job to post it, that's all there is to it.
I wish there was a way to set this u-p whereas I don't have to moderate comments at all. OMG, talk about saving at least 4 to 5 hours a day worth of work! Hopefully this Post explains my position? If you only saw the 100 comments a day, (or more) that I do delete! There are some very childish Anti Albero people out there that are truly so mental that less than a hand full spend time each and every day trying to get really stupid comments through. I'll give you 5 guesses who these people might be too. You'll probably get all five right too!
Anyhow, please believe me when I say I'm doing my best and I'll close with this. I could use your help too. I don't want negative comments on the SPD or the WCSO, so if someone puts something up here that you believe needs to be deleted, send me a tip on it, will ya? I'll work with each and every one of you as I believe BOTH Forces are doing incredible work. It's just a shame, (to me anyway) that not enough information comes out about the special work the SPD Task Force is doing!!!!! I can't put information out there that doesn't come from a Press Release and Chief Webster NEVER allows the work that Task Force does out to the Public. Why, I don't know? Just believe me when I tell you, there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than most of you will ever know. That is, as long as Webster is their Chief of Police, anyway.
Thanks for your time and understanding on this matter. Joe

Wicomico Tax Dollars Supporting Marxist Doctrine
I know, it sounds a bit over-the-top. It also happens to be true.
While I seldom agree with Bill Duvall on matters of public education, he happens to be dead on in this post. The National Education Association (NEA) has always promoted a leftist agenda. Two of their latest forays into socialism are the notion that illegal immigrants should receive in-state tuition breaks and taxpayer-funded financial aid. In addition, the NEA will lobby for the establishment of a "Peace Academy". I feel like I'm back in the 1970's and 1980's with the same people that wanted the United States to unilaterally disarm. Of course once the Soviet Union fell these same people, whose core philosophy seems to be "blame America" had to keep their mouths shut - for a while.
Are you supporting Barack Hussein Obama for President? You are if you live in Wicomico County. Your tax dollars for teacher pay are working their way to the NEA. The NEA has pledged to spend $40 - $50 million this year to elect leftist candidates like Obama.
I fully support the rights of teachers to collectively bargain. I also support their First Amendment rights. I also think that Wicomico teachers need to either own the leftist agenda of the NEA and its state affiliate - the Maryland State Teachers Association (MSTA) - OR they need to refuse to allow their money to support groups that are promoting an agenda that wants to destroy our country.
You should remember this next year when teachers are whining about not being paid enough. IF they have not renounced the MSTA and NEA, which they will never do, we should remind them that we don't want our tax dollars going to promote a leftist, "blame America first" agenda.
Why should hard working, patriotic citizens want to ally themselves with a group like the Wicomico County Education Association (WCEA), when they are supporting groups that are anti-American and wish to indoctrinate our children with a Marxist agenda. That is precisely what the notion of a "Peace Academy" is.

Thank You!
On behalf of the Wicomico Eastside Chamber of Commerce, I would like to thank everyone who helped make this years Independence Day Celebration at the Willards Elementary School a success beyond anyones wildest expectations. You have to keep in mind that this was supposed to be a fireworks display only, but grew to include vendors, private groups, and organizations who affect our lives in different ways yet we may seldom think about it. I've heard from many people that they believe between 2000 and 3000 people visited the event yesterday. We see this as a huge success.
We'd like to thank the following:
Public Safety:
Dale White, Bill Frisch, and the entire Willards Volunteer Fire Co. Without their efforts to coordinate available resources to ensure the safety of the visitors and residents this event would have never taken place.
Powellville and Pittsville Volunteer Fire Companies who dedicated equipment and manpower to supplement Willards Vol. Fire Co.
Wicomico County Fire Police who made sure that parking never became a problem and for making sure that fire apparatus had a way to get out quickly in the event a fire/EMS emergency occurred in another area. Thank God that never happened.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office for providing four Deputies to make sure that law enforcement would be immediately available should the need arise. Thankfully, everyone got along perfectly.
The Fire Marshall's Office and Mike Ash of Bay Fireworks for working together to make sure that the fireworks display was perfectly safe. I can't say how astounded I was at the display. Outstanding work, Mike.
We'd like to thank the Town of Willards for their support in holding this event in their town, as well as their monetary support to help make it happen.
We'd like to thank the Wicomico County Board of Education. Without the use of the property surrounding the Willards Elementary School, this event would not have been possible.
We'd like to thank the Gathering Tree church for providing free water and snacks to the visitors.
We'd like to thank the Tabernacle Church for providing LIVE Music and snow cones for the visitors.
We'd to thank the following vendors:
Eastern Shore Jeep Assoc. and their friends who displayed their Jeeps and hot rods, as well as selling cool glow in the dark necklaces for the kids.
Whitey's Barbecue and Station 7 Restaurant who provided some of the best food you can imagine. The people seemed to go back time and time again.
The girls (they know who they are) who sold lemonade for "Alex's Lemonade" and raised $243.75 to help in the fight against childhood cancer.
I'd personally like to thank the members of the Wicomico Eastside Chamber of Commerce and other members of the community who donated the money and time to make this event, not only possible, but a great success, as well as those who came out this morning to clean up the property on which the event occurred and made it look like we were never there.
Let's not to forget to thank God for holding the storms back until we could finish the show, pack up, and get home safely.
We will now relax for the rest of the summer. In the fall the Chamber will critique the event and begin to make plans for next year.
Thanks again to everyone. Hope to see you next year.

How Did Everyone Do With The Classified Ads?
I'd love to know who sold what? How many calls or e-mails did you get? Did you sell what you listed?
I got several calls personally about people being interested in what was for sale. That being said, how about those people reading the ads. Were there items you liked and or were interested in?
A friend came to me last night and said, I'm looking for a scooter. Another person asked, do you know of any Golf Carts for sale? That brought up a possible Classified Section where people can list items they WANT, rather than just what's for sale.
So let us know how it worked for you?

194 Comments, ON A SATURDAY?
Saturday is the slowest day of the week for all Bloggers but as we saw record numbers on this Blog yesterday, the comments were unreal as well.
As a matter of fact, we saw completely unexpected numbers for the entire week, being summer and all. That being said, Pocomoke Tattler has taken over the #1 Political Blogger spot this week while Salisbury News is #2. Congratulations Billy Burke, (Boss Hog) as you certainly rocked this past week!
The Eastern Shore has certainly proven to be the hot spot for news and information verses the rest of the state of Maryland.

A Comment Worthy Of A Post
"You can quote indian people all day long, it doesn't mean people will get it. Their God is green, they worship what will be of the least use to them when it all comes right down to it.
Chief Seattle is often quoted, his words are used often when it suits the need but the words he spoke are not even entertained let alone followed. The earth is on it's last legs, it would do us all well to pay attention.
The Cree have a saying,
"Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money."
Who is the savage?"

Willards 5th Of July Celebration!
While thousands of people showed up, (out of nowhere?) this was one of the finest 4th of July events I've ever been to.
First let me start by thanking Mr. Bob Harris for putting this whole thing together. I know Granddad will get on here later and thank the rest of the volunteers and Officials that were there but I have to tell you, this was a Family Outing like no other.
We took the Urban Assault Vehicle up there, opened one of the slide outs, put up the table, pulled the awning out and we were done! Friends & Bloggers just started showing up saying hello, introducing themselves and enjoyed great fellowship the entire time we were there. We arrived around 4:30 PM and stayed until it was completely over at around 10:30 PM.
I pulled out the grill and cooked hot dogs and hamburgers for anyone who stopped by. I then climbed on top of the Motor Coach and honest to God, I could NOT believe my eyes. The Motor Coach blocked the view of the people behind us and man, you talk about a ton of people! We heard Station 7 made a small fortune as well as every single vendor out there! Heck, Station 7 ran out of french fries by 9:30 PM! I mention that because they have KILLER fries!
Now I'd like to mention my friend Mr. Mike Ash. You see, last night was Mike's last Fireworks Show. Bay Fireworks will continue to operate but Mike has been shooting off Fireworks for 41 years now and quite frankly, he's had it. So last night we were entertained with some of the coolest stuff I had ever seen. A mix of this, a combination of that. The next thing we knew it was a Show to remember, wasn't it Folks?
I'd like to thank ALL of the people who read this Blog for stopping by and saying hello. I was certainly overwhelmed with the amount of people who saw the Motor Coach and stopped in. My Wife thought I wouldn't be able to fit back into the Motor Coach because my head would have grown too big to get back in it but somehow I did make it back in after greasing the door frame.
Thanks for a great time Willards. You can count on this Family returning next year as well as the many visitors of this Blog.
DO NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DOLLAR COINS AS CHANGE!
Please help do this ... refuse to accept these when they are handed back to you. I received one from the Post Office as change and I asked for a dollar bill instead. The lady just smiled and said, 'Way to go,' so she had read this e-mail. Please help out. Our world is in enough trouble without this too!
U.S. Government to Release New Dollar Coins
You guessed it -- IN GOD WE TRUST' IS GONE!
If ever there was a reason to boycott something, THIS IS IT!
DO NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DOLLAR COINS AS CHANGE
Together we can force them out of circulation.

Is This Still America?!?!?!
I think I'm going to be titling many of my future articles with this title in the future.
Today I read an article on InfoWars.com about Texas State Police Officers holding down suspected DUI citizens and taking their blood using a needle in order to obtain evidence right on the side of the highway! WTF???
What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Used to be if you were suspected of DUI, and you refused a breathalyzer, the officer would take you to a nearby hospital or a licensed phlebotomist and draw your blood to make their case.
Now the State of Texas is bypassing all of this, and sending their officers to a 20 hour training program to obtain blood from suspects. Most phlebotomists are trained up to one year in a clinical environment that involves licensing and certification.
This move by the Texas State Police is being called the most aggressive assault on the rights of Americans ever experienced thus far.
If you want to read the full article go to http://www.infowars.com/?p=3098
Please read this and see what is happening to our civil liberties. I have a friend who is diabetic and when her blood sugar is low you would swear she has been drinking.
I have also know another person who was involved in a car crash and killed and because she was a college student the first thing everyone said was "oh I bet she was drunk" . Wrong! Autopsy discovered she had slipped into a diabetic coma.
Texas has gone too far on this one.

Quote of the Day
"Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, or even a stranger, if in a lonely place. Show respect to all people, but grovel to none. When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.
Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home." by: Tecumseh -(1768-1813) Shawnee Chief
Question of the Day, Sun 7/6
This question brought to you by Cliff:
This is the busiest "cookout" weekends of the summer due to July 4th. Where's the best place to buy local produce? Are the prices reasonable? Do you buy from Farmer's Markets?
Where's the worst place to buy local produce?

Act Of Kindness
Joe,
The wife and I were in Giant about noon today. After we checked out our
item we were leaving and I saw a 5 dollar bill on the floor under the
crd.crd machine. We picked the bill up and low and behold there a medium size
bill fold on part of the bagging counter. We checked with the clerk person in
the adjoining aisle and she said It maybe belonged to the lady leaving the
store at the end next to the pharm. As we were approaching her she began to
search her purse when I asked her If this was what she was looking for. The
clerk also said she was partially blind and slow. We gave her the wallet and
left the store feeling good. But we never got a thank you. Then prople
wonder what is wrong with this world. We discussed this the rest of the way
home and we still felt good.
