Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 24 December 2008
Location: 700 block of N. Westover Drive, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Melvin Lamont Williams, 46, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 24 December 2008
at 10:26 PM, a deputy investigated an assault alleged to have occurred inside a residence in the 700 block of N. Westover Drive. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a victim who advised that she had been involved in a verbal altercation with Melvin Lamont Williams when the altercation turned physical. The victim claimed that she was bitten on the hand by Williams and the deputy observed injuries consistent with that claim.

Williams was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Williams was held in the Detention Center by the Commissioner in lieu of $20,000.00 bond.

Charges: Assault 2nd Degree

Incident: Possession of a Firearm on School Property
Date of Incident: 25 December 2008
Location: 300 East College Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: 17 YOA male juvenile, Bivalve, MD

Narrative: On 25 December 2008
at 7:14 PM, a deputy investigated a vehicle parked in the lot of Bennett High School while the school was closed. When the deputy approached the vehicle, it was discovered to be occupied by a lone 17 YOA male juvenile. During the course of the deputy’s encounter with the juvenile, the deputy located a rifle and ammunition inside the vehicle. Because the juvenile was on school property with the weapon, the juvenile was arrested.

The juvenile was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was released to a parent pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services

Incident: Possession of Cocaine
Date of Incident: 26 December 2008
Location: 600 block of Barnsdale Drive, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Jose Carlos Flores – Ibarra, 28, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 26 December 2008
at 12:21 AM, a deputy traveling on Parker Drive in an unmarked police vehicle was passed in a no passing zone by a vehicle operated by Jose Carlos Flores – Ibarra. The deputy stopped the vehicle and found that the operator appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. After a subsequent evaluation, Flores – Ibarra was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. Post arrest, a deputy located a baggie inside Flore- Ibarra’s vehicle that contained what the deputy recognized as cocaine.

Flores – Ibarra was transported to the Central Booking unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, he was held in the Detention Center by the Commissioner in lieu of $15,000.00 bond.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Possession of Cocaine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

    and ammo! If it is the kid I know , his mommy will do nothing ,
    she has connections!

  2. It IS Muzzle loader season, and typically there are no students in school on Christmas Day. One wonders what his reason was for being there. It could be legit; could be not.
