We were very pleased this past Sunday when one of our Yorkshire Terriers delivered five boys and one girl, all healthy and nursing like there's no tomorrow. These puppies will be up for sale when they reach 12 weeks old. We'll keep everyone posted. If anyone is interested in one of these puppies you can contact me directly at
alberobutzo@wmconnect.com.
Joe , do they look like lil rottweilers? lmao
ReplyDelete...that was ... why do they look like lil rottweilers?
ReplyDeleteIm gonna learn to write SOMEDAY!lol
MAYBE!
Awww....sooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
Come on Joe....I know you got better thing to do ... but this is killing me. I mean is this what yorkshire terrier pups look like at birth? Clue me in. I know I'm s l o w but them look like rotties.
ReplyDeleteThat's what they look like. What do you think I did, made the photos up? Look how tiny the one is in the hand. You don't get rotties that small at birth.
ReplyDeleteI am quite surprised by your comments about them being for sale later on.
ReplyDeleteMost responsible breeders do not even think about a breeding unless they have a list of buyers before conception even occurs.
What's up? You don't have to blast me, I am just curious (and have been a responsible breeder of field and show dogs for many years).
Joe...start a puppy cam!
ReplyDeleteanonymous 3:48,
ReplyDeleteIf you were in fact a responsible breeder you would have used your name here and actually received a plug for your animals.
That being said, allow me to explain a little bit about the ECONOMY we're in as well as the massive puppy mills out there, (perhaps you're one of them) breeding the heck out of Yorkies and selling them cheap.
We only breed about once a year on average. We certainly do have people lined up to purchase some of the puppies but considering Yorkies usually only deliver 1, 2 or 3 puppies at a time, we were blessed with a very large litter this go around.
That being said, if you had contacted me I would have sent you to our Website where you'd read the details in which we demand whenever we sell a puppy. There are quite a few people out there who read this Blog that are now owners of these special little guys and girls. They are some of the most incredible people I have been fortunate enough to meet in my lifetime.
If we are not comfortable with you, you're not getting one of these dogs. We are that particular. There are contracts to be signed and we have spay neuter contracts to boot. Many times we do so on our own before they are sold. You don't like it, you don't get one.
We also only sell and breed full Champion blood lines and although bias, the most beautiful Yorkies you'll ever own.
I'll add, we will buy back ANY Yorkie we sell for ANY reason. So while there are a ton of puppy mill breeders out there selling dogs for less, we're not in that league. I'll close with, IF you were a reputable breeder, you would already know this and you would already know my Wife. We do not breed for the money as we attempt to get yet another Show quality dog.
I think I've said enough. I don't believe you and the fact you end your comment with you don't want to get blasted tells me if you were a respectable kind of individual you simply wouldn't have commented at all.
Now let us know if you live up to our standards of breeding. We feel we set the bar for people like you to live up to.
I think if Joe is capable of adopting out the ENTIRE Wicomico Humane Society he can handle finding responsible owners for his pups.
ReplyDeleteJoe - My name is Sondra Bozman Daisey (Salt Spray Retrievers), and I posted the Anon 3:48 comment. I train for and run AKC Licensed Retriever Field Trials with your old neighbor.
ReplyDeleteI do breed responsibly, as it now appears you do, and make sure every animal we even consider breeding has had every possible genetic test available.
I have bred Chessies for close to twenty years (although I no longer do because of the time involved), have two Schips with show points (although that is not my cup of tea), and would never consider breeding my competitive dogs unless they were titled (FC or AFC) because there are far too many dogs out there.
I am not a 'puppy mill' or 'backyard breeder.' I demand the same of my prosepctive puppy or gun dog buyers.
I was just surprised that you did not have all of your well-bred Yorkies spoken for.
I can take the blasting - look who I hang out with - LOL. Folks in the Field Trial world don't need plugs for their animals - they don't get sold to the general public. ;)
I'm pleased to see you're a responsible dog owner/breeder.
ReplyDeleteTell old Newt I said hello.
I appreciate and respect the fact that you've used your name here, it means a lot to me.
I agree with Sondra, if we did not know you, we would believe that you are "crankin'" out puppies. Your post came across rather casual and believe me, there is nothing casual about raising a litter of well bred, well socialized puppies. Thanks Sondra for saying what you did as it is ditto for me as well. However, I do know Joe and Jennifer and Jennifer is the boss when (it comes to the dogs anyway), so those pups won't go anywhere that she is not comfortable with the new home. Barb F.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... What does your best friend Linda think of you breeding dogs when there are so many at the Humane Society? Why would anyone need a pure bred dog? Isn't that what I read in your blog not too long ago?
ReplyDeleteanonymous 6:15,
ReplyDeleteI wonder what has brought on such anger and jealousy?
A normal viewer of this Blog would

ReplyDeletePurebred dogs are bred for specific reasons, and bred carefully.
Each litter of Labrador puppies (for example) right now, would have each of its parents tested for no less than eight specific things - several of which are DNA marker tests - and if the parents can 'pass' all of those, and hold some type of title (in my world it would be Field Champion or Amateur Field Champion), they will most likely produce offspring that people in the particular dog sport would want to continue the sport with. There is no need to contribute to the dog population unless your dogs have something to offer the breed.
I encourage people to adopt dogs from shelters. Why spend $300-500 on a dog advertisede in the paper with no health clearances and no guarantee that could cause your family a nightmare? Go to the shelter, get a dog, and take your chances. Help a dog who needs it.

65 YEARS ago, my father told me that when someone asked him what kind of dog he had, he wanted to be able to tell them~ His remark to me was, it cost no more to feed a purebred dog than a mixed breed and I have remembered that for 69 years~ i got my first purebred dog in Salisbury at that time. Yep they were breeding nice dogs back then~ She was the love of my life. As Sondra said, purebred dogs each have unique qualities that are characteristic to their breed and if you are looking for a specific thing, a purebred dog is the way to go. I love all dogs and it is wonderful that people take shelter dogs into their homes; they too want and deserve a good family.
ReplyDeleteActually, I was surprised you were
ReplyDeleteinvolved in breeding. I'm sure
you ck your clients well, & that
is good. I suppose I thought
because you're so involved with
helping the Humane Society I
just did not associate you with
breeding & selling to people.
No disrespect----but somehow it
just didn't click with me
