Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

Jermaine Tyrone Dupont, 18yoa, of Salisbury, MD was charged with Handgun on Person, Handgun in a Vehicle, two counts of Minor in Possession of a Handgun, and Possession of Handgun after Conviction. On December 28, 2008 at approximately 1:03am, officers were on patrol in the area of Second St and Hill St. Officers observed a vehicle occupied by Dupont commit a traffic violation. The vehicle was stopped for the violation. During the investigation, officers recovered from the area where Dupont had been seated a loaded .22 caliber handgun. Dupont was arrested along with another companion, Jeremy Jerome Johnson, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Dupont was transported and released to the custody of Central Booking.

Jeremy Jerome Johnson, 23yoa, of Salisbury was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with Distribution of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine. Johnson is accused of selling a quantity of cocaine to an undercover police officer in June of 2008 in the area of Second St and Pearl St.

Tiffany Anne Simmons, 25yoa, of Bethany Beach, DE was charged with Theft less than $100. On December 30, 2008 at approximately 3:56pm, an officer responded to the North Wal-Mart for a shoplifter that had been detained. It was learned that Simmons was observed by a loss prevention officer to be removing security stickers from jewelry packages. Simmons then concealed the packages on her person and exited the store without paying for the items. Simmons was detained in the parking lot. All the stolen items were recovered and returned to Wal-Mart. Simmons was transported and released to the custody of Central Booking.

    how does this kid sell cocaine to a police man and not get arrested right away? how does he manage to get away with it and then be "found" at a later date. salisbury police are poop.

  4. Kris, listen up and you may learn a little about police work. If they were conducting a operation were it was ongoing for several days they don't want to risk blowing the cover of the undercover officers. The transaction will be caught on tape, badguy will be identified, and charges will be brought later. They can do this for days and not risk the work getting out about the operation. Are you that stupid or do you have something against SPD?

  6. alright anonymous, i have nothing against the spd. they just arent good. if there was an outstanding warrant and they have known who he was and his name why not go back the next day to his residence or do something to get him off the streets. why do they have to wait to get lucky and pull him over. what if he used his blinker? or wore his seatbelt? this wouldnt happen and he'd still be making money off his rocks.
