Can you tell it's an election year. It has been 7 full days since the Salisbury Police Department released a Press Release on criminal activity in Salisbury. The Mayor must have laid down the law to make sure a very small percentage of crime is actually exposed to her minions so as to make things look great in the City.
I will say this however, as I have stood ringing the bell at WalMart and Sam's Club throughout entire days and evenings up until 9:00 PM, there have been days I've been out there and never once saw a Salisbury Police Vehicle, never once! I should add, I have never once seen the Fire Chief out checking out Fire Lanes ever since Black Friday, Idiot!
On other days, like yesterday, I saw ONE. They just happened to be out getting something to eat and sat in the WalMart parking lot to eat it. I drove up to them to say hello and question an e-mail that was going around yesterday that turned out to be a lie. Someone was spreading the word that a guy was dressing up like one of the shopping cart guys and attacking and robbing people in the parking lot, NOT TRUE.
I knew it couldn't be accurate because they wouldn't stick around and continue to do it if it were in fact true. I did enough digging to find out the information was false, so don't believe that crap.
Anyhow, Webster is covering up crime again in the City of Salisbury. I hope all of you feel safe. I'm wondering though, are your car doors left unlocked at night? Are you leaving your doors and windows unlocked? Are you carrying hundreds of dollars in your wallet because you're that confident you're so well protected that no one will rob you? That's what this Mayor and Chief want you to believe. Everything is just fine in Salisbury because there is NO CRIME.
Whether it's election year or not I have to commend all law enforcement for saturating our neighborhoods. This proves it can be done year round.
ReplyDeletespeaking of crime, does anyone know what happened at millpond village sunday morning? there were lots of police and medical there all morning...
ReplyDeleteJoe, maybe this has something to do with decreased crime in the 'bury. A friend told me yesterday that his son was accousted by several young black males at a club in the 'bury this past weekend. He was beaten in the parking lot. When the man (he's 35) called SPD to report the incident, the officer told him it was not in their jurisdiction (it is) and they cleared without a report. If they do that a lot, no wonder their numbers are down. They don't take reports when they should. Great move by Webster to get a crime reduction.
ReplyDeleteOne officer had to ask one of my neighbors for a pen to write the report on the back of a business card? It was regarding a robbery and when he showed up he had to ask my neighbor why he was called? WTF?
ReplyDeleteI had a friend that had their house broke into and the SPD officer that was dispatched to the scene said "Well what do you want us to do about it?" Nice very nice.
ReplyDeleteProbably because it was at a bar, they dont give a shit about bar brawls, people are always alcoholed up. Cops dont care.
ReplyDeleteYou know what I find extremely appalling is that one of our cops plowed into the back of a car which then crashed into a tractor trailer, killing the lady in the car, and his excuse was ice. Even if it was ice why was he not driving safer if it was a civilian wouldn't he be charged with negligent driving. These cops use their power to do what they want and get away with it. Why hasn't this major accident been in the paper or did I miss it? It happened on 50 right down the street from Mardela Springs.
ReplyDelete1137. That accident was a very big deal in the local media outlets. Because of the accident, the Maryland State Police have been ordered to obey the speed limit, unless operating as an emergency vehicle. Though this should have been the common practice, sadly it has not in the past. The question is, though, "Who Polices the Police?".
ReplyDeleteoh they are just all bad all the time...those damn cops!
ReplyDeleteI went to wawa the other day and they didnt have change for my $50, I have been to walmart before when i bought something that was broken, and they asked me what i wanted to do with it!
WEBSTER NEEDS TO GO! WHAT A LOSER!
ReplyDeleteI really think that its not the cops it is the administration and not having enough cops to run the city.
ReplyDeleteThey are tired and over worked and not even given dinner breaks. I have seen the way cops look at like 5:30 am when they have worked like dogs all night.
Also they are having more cops on suspension for no reason and writing them up for not meeting quota. So watch out. Cops need to meet quota which is against the law.
Theres not a wonder why the cops don't enforce the law when it comes to bar brawls, our own D.A.just walked on by.
ReplyDeleteWell one city officer has enough time to park and wait for his, ah, buddy to get in the car then his head disappears. hmmmm my tax dollars getting blown so-to-speak. I'm not the only one who has seen this, next is to get pictures and post them right here on this blog.
