Good News From JMB & Parkside

"Joe nothing really about this post but thought that you might want to know. For all the problems JMB has Parkside is basicly stable, because we have had solid leadership for many years. So this past Christmas season Parkside High School and Career and Tech. Have collected over 2000 cans of food to be distrubted by the Joseph House and the Order Of Redmen tribe. Thought you might want some positive info on the school system here in Wicomico County, and Parkside."

  4. Wi-Hi does good stuff, too. From Wi-Hi's website:

LEAGUE OF LADIES PREPS GIFT BOXES FOR WICOMICO NURSING HOME & JOSEPH HOUSE
In the past, the League of Ladies and the Step and Dance Team at Wi-Hi have been recipients of numerous donations from the community as a reward for their PREMIER academic achievement and behavior. However this year, the students decided to give back to the community.

The students chose to do a variation of the another renown project which involves stuffing and wrapping shoe boxes as gifts for those who are less fortunate. As a group, the students decided to give the boxes to senior citizens at the Wicomico Nursing Home and the Joseph House.

Tuesday, select members of the League of Ladies and the Step and Dance Team traveled to the Wicomico Nursing Home to deliver gifts and card made especially for them by the students. The boxes were stuffed with toiletry items which were purchased by funds donated to us by the Wi-Hi PSTA. The Salvation Army also made a donation of teddy bears that we will be adding to the boxes.

For the next two Thursdays, the League of Ladies and Step/Dance Team will be decorating stockings and making more cards in the Cafe from 3-4:00 pm for the women and children at the Joseph House.
