The Daily Times Gets It Wrong Again

"Tragic wake-up call
A Willards family lost its home, possessions and 19-month-old son in a tragic fire Thursday morning. The young father is hospitalized in intensive care after heroically trying to save his youngest son; his 5-year-old son is also hospitalized with burns."

The Father has been released from the Hospital and while they had to revive the child at Shock Trauma. The 5 year old has done a 180 and could be released as early as this Tuesday. The Father has left PRMC and has gone to Shock Trauma to be with his Family.

Incredible, unconditional friends, neighbors, family members, the Red Cross and even strangers have gathered together to help this family in desperate need of just about everything.

A Parsonsburg Couple have donated a 2 bedroom apartment in Parsonsburg fr 3 months to get them back on their feet. You're welcome to add who's done what to help out in comments. I know the Red Cross has come through with clothing for everyone.

God Speed.

  2. Its just stale news as usual. David was in intesive care at first. He was released yesterday and got a ride to Baltimore to be with Devon and Lacey.

If that bolded quote was printed earlier, it would have been right. They just can't get news out as soon as you can, Joe.

Other than talking with family members of Lacey's, I have donated money.

Remember, when one fingers pointing, three more are pointing back.Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.Sound familiar.I bet every one of you have heard this caption before....so why don't you live it?Is it wrong.Does it single any one out?Is it racest?

  6. is that really the headline "tragic wake-up call"? That's disgusting. First of all it's a disgusting misuse of the phrase "wake up call" second of all it's disgusting that the author would call someone's baby boy dying in a fire a wake up call. What's the wake up call? That fire is bad? honestly fire that writer he sucks

    am I wrong here guys?

I think the Wake Up Call was a plea to all who don't have working smoke alarms or none at all. Your local Fire Department can give you one. They CAN'T prevent a fire but they CAN alert you to one. It's possible that you misunderstood. And just so you know, I am NOT a Fireman and NOT associated with any Fire Department.

  8. I will sending along a check from my Christmas bonus, and Laceys mother knows she can call me anytime to vent, cry, whatever. This really hurts my heart because I have known Lacey since she was the same age as my little girl and the whole extended Willis family are good people who will rally around her and David and Devon.

  9. Which Mike Dunn...Mike C. Dunn the landlord, or his cousin Mike P. Dunn, the ex-Dream Teamer, now political hatchet man for Gary = Barrie?

    Likely the former. Then again.

Sorry to be off topic, just responding to others.

I DO want to say that family is in my prayers. There is NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING worse to the parent than the loss of a child. Thank God the other child revived. My God give them courage, comfort and strength.
