BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

FIRE AT CENTER OF SALISBURY MALL!

Station 16 & 2 are on location and Station 74 is being dispatched as we speak. I'm told the Assistant Chief has ordered the hoses/lines to be unloaded, meaning there is a fire in progress. I'm told the fire is near the Dairy Queen. We'll keep you updated as the information comes in.

  1. It happened at the shoe repair store. A machine caught on fire pretty much under control now. Just removing smoke

  2. It was just a machine that was smoking.

  3. Everything was under control Big Gordo was there in his stolen Crown Vic responding at an enormous high rate of speed and little Gordo was there in Truck 16. What leadership!!

  4. i am glad someone else recognizes all the lack of leadership Salisbury Fire Department has. The little twirp shouldn't even be a member, more less an officer. An officer position is earned based on respect and leadership abilities. In his situation, it was because of his time being suspended from the organization, which was longer than his active time status. That's what the Delmar Mofia has done for SFD.

  5. We end up with the rejects from Delmar. They don't want them, Gordo didn't get his lifetime becuase they wouldn't give it to him, and due to the criminal record little twirp has, Delmar wouldn't have taken him either. But See took care of his own, Gordo got promoted and little twirp got taken in as a member. Leadership and quality of people are lacking within the organization. JIM IRETON HELP TURN THIS DEPARTMENT AROUND!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Best news I heard so far on WBOC tonight is when they said See has announced his retirement for next June. Can't come soon enough. I guess he knows he'll be out of a job when the mare is no longer in charge.

  7. Anonymous 6:21,

I agree, WBOC did share that bit of good news. However, See hasn't served the Salisbury Fire Department, (like they said) for 30 years. They got THAT wrong too.

On top of that, did you notice once again how the majority of their local news came from right here on Salisbury News. It's easy to just sit back and pick and choose whatever you want from Salisbury News and never leave the Office.

  8. Again, Salisbury News is "Delmarva's News Leader" and they're "Follow The Leader."

  9. Didn't the mall at one time offer the old Montgomery Wards garage to the city for a north fire department? Then the Save-A-Lot shopping center offered the old transmission shop building for a fire department? We could have had 3 new fire buildings for less than the mansion cost. This city needs people that are ready to do an about face.

Yep, David See and Gordo turned it down because they didn't want it to interfer with the city tax payers coughing up $10 million dollars for a new station. That is a fact, I am a member or the Salisbury Fire Department and I sat in on those meetings.

  11. It's 9:35 PM and Gordo is snooping around the downtown plaza and asked central to dispatch the engine from station 16 to help him investigate a "smoke investigation." Assistant Chief Records told him it wasn't anything, but Gordo didn't believe him. Doesn't that GOOFBALL have a life?

  12. When the new mayor is elected he should consider Bryan Records as a top choice as the next Salisbury fire chief. He is not only a good firefighter but will not kiss any politicians butt to serve his needs. I fought fire with both Bryan and his father Donald Records and you could not ask for better men on the fireground.

  13. Bryan Records for fire chief, no way, hes not a politician and that is a political job. bust him back to a black hat and let the man do what he is good at.

    dumpster diving

Speaking of the Gordo Twerp, who paid for their all expense paid trip out to Wisconsin for several days. Sounds like they had a nice vacation at someone elses expense.

  15. Wasn't this about the The Centre being on fire?
All I have to say is I hope the dork security guards could get the Segways down there fast enough.
Now talk about losers. My granny could do a better job. Way back when a guy named Walt was there the security was a team you didn't want to mess with.

  16. It's 11:09 PM and Gordo is now clearing the Downtown Plaza with nothing found. Over an hour and a half and they found nothing. What a waste of good resources. Records and Lt. Insley both told Gordo it was nothing and Gordo still made them waste an hour and a half on the plaza breaking into closed businesses. Someone needs to send Gordo a bill for the manpower of everyone involved and time wasted and the damage caused.

I heard there were 9 farmin who flew out to Wisconsin just to look at one fire truck. WTF is up with that? Can someone name names and let the public know how much this trip cost the tax payers?

  19. An FD in the old Ward's garage would have made good PR and been cool to see... Too bad it ended up just getting torn down.

  20. Joe, you should learn to listen better. WBOC said that Chief See had served for NEARLY 30 years.

But I am sure you will dispute this also.

    ReplyDelete
  21. YOU clearly implied that he was with the Salisbury Fire Department for 30 years. YOU never made mention of him working anywhere else, period. YOU were wrong. YOU can come back here all you want and twist things to fit your wants and needs but the fact of the matter is, YOU got it wrong. It's NO big deal, it was just a mistake, it happens.

A group of farmin went to Wisconsin to look at their new ladder truck, They went about a month ago too. While there they visited the local strip clubs and did what they do best. Gordo always visits this kind of establishment while on the road. There is a little bit of far business and a whole bunch of wild asventure thand drinking that goes on. The ones that go there come back and tell the world what they did. I personally find it disqusting. As for who paid for the trip, who knows . Its a cloudy as the piggyback deal that their buying it through. Yhe citizens should be proud that these farmin got to see some strange hooters and a little ladder truck.

  23. If I am not mistaken. Didn't See came in 1979. So retirement this year makes 30 years

  24. I would hope that, when the new fire chief is selected, it would be based on merit and suitability for the position, and not based on "I like him better". It should not be based on who's been there the longest, or who can win a popularity contest within the ranks. Leadership usually has nothing to do with being liked, but has everything to do with being respected.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Kidding for sure. Bryan has no use for politians and the smoke and mirrors that come with them. He's a hands on guy and would never try for Chief. In this political arena, who would. He's a smart guy and knows the fire business well. However his heart is with the guys and that will never change. His dad was the same way. He could have been Chief, but loved working on the floor. No time for political games and all the butt kissing that went with them. I feel sorry for this Chief and any other that comes along.

  26. I stand corrected, forgive me?

While Chief See hasn't been with the SFD for exactly 30 years, cose enough. He started in June or July of 1979. I had always been under the impression he was with the Delmar Fire Department for many of this years in the Fire Service because so many said he was a transplant. Sadly, people on the Eastern Shore will never seem to accept you if you weren't born here or started and finished with the SFD. My hat is certainly tipped to Chief See for so many years of service, 30 years is long enough to respect him as one of your own, that's for sure. I certainly hope when the Chief does retire, people respect him as WBOC clearly tried to do is last nights broadcast.

So WBOC, Chief See and anyone else who was offended by my coment, I'm sorry and I hope al of you can forgive me?

    Joe

    7:52 AM

With all due respect working for Thompson Trucking at night and sleeping all day at the SFD Training Centew while on the clock doesn't qualify as 30 years of honorable service to the city of Salisbury. That miserable POS should be thanking God every day that he still has a job to retire from. He was given numerous chances before getting fired to clean up his act. He hated volunteer firefighters and still does. He would use words that would make a drunken sailor blush. He was so miserable that he made everyone around him miserable. He knew how to kiss the right ass at the right time to get where he is today. The city would have been much better off firing that lazy bastard.

I thank God every day that I am retired and I don't have to work around that POS anymore. David See good riddens.

  28. anon: 12:36 lets get your facts straight... He not only worked for Thompson Trucking AKA Pertoleum Transporters. He was the Vice President I believe.

Far as sleeping its done by everyone who works at the SFD... Some did it more than others

  30. Chief See hauled gas all night for Tri County Gas. Bill Snyders business. He would roll in to the FTC and catch a shower at about 5:30. Then he would lay his head on the desk and sleep all day. If there was a fire you wouldn't see him there. He wasn't going to fight fires in this shit town with those TICKS. What a gig he had. I haven't forgot what an AHole he was and still is.

    FTC = Fire Training Center

TICK's = a name he and many paid firemen call volunteers. Totally Incapable of Containing Knowlege (TICK)

  32. David See should have been fired a long time ago, but the witch new she could control him and use him to do away with the volunteers.

I wonder if this commentor was David See himself as many of us that know David See know he never was a firefighter and was just as lazy as Fatso Hoppes that wants to replace him.

If this commentor is sincere about David See then I challenge him to sign his name otherwise we will know it is David See stroking his own ego.
