The parade runs the length of Market Street from the new firehouse to the river in whats left of the downtown starting at 7:00 PM tonight.
There will be featured dignitaries such as City Manager "Boss Hogg" Russ Blake and his puppet Mayor Mike McDermott, who will put on the best of their two faces to show the public along with all the members of the most openly corrupt City Council on the Eastern seaboard.
Many regional policians find the parade a great opportunity to be seen with "Boss Hogg" and his crew in P-City and you can look forward to a few delegates, county officials waving from their parade cars.
The good news is THE CHILDREN LOVE THE PARADE & DON'T CARE ABOUT CROOKED POLITICIANS!
There will be floats and entries from local churches and civic organizations, marching bands from across the Eastern Shore, equistrian units and fire trucks, lots of fire trucks and fire equipment will be driven down Market Street tonight.
The highlight is always Santa Claus at the tail end of the parade.
So come on down to Pocomoke, bring a couple of beach chairs and a thermos of hot chocolate to enjoy the parade for yourself.
First Baptist on the corner of 4th of Market will be giving away Hot Chocolate tonight so stop and see all the folks with First Baptist to get your free cup of Hot Chocolate....
ReplyDeletePocomoke's "Anti-Ambassador", Billy Burke, will also be in attendance.

ReplyDeleteThe Burkes will be hosting their annual parade party on Market Street. A true highlight of the holiday season.
Anon 4:08: How nice would you be to Boss Hogg and his band of crooked politicians if he drove a bulldozer through your living room?
Original post by ANONYMOUS. Hypocrites!!!
ReplyDeleteIn Salisbury you can't throw candy to the crowd. But can I throw crack cocaine in Pocomoke?

ReplyDeleteIf its free then you are cutting into Boss Hogg's biznatch.
If you charge, he collects on the P-City Crack n' Ho tax @ 22%
Boss Hogg,
ReplyDeleteDid I hear that Selby Sign laid off a mess of people?
Concerned!
I have no idea of what is going on at Selby Signs. I have known the Selby family and done business with them for over 20-years and would recommend them to anyone.
ReplyDeleteThey are a very solid company operated by the family and they really care about the quality of the product and customer service.
If there are layoffs it has to be with much sorrow and based on the economy not delivering enough work to keep everyone on board.
The good news is I saw Santa Claus riding in a Selby Sign bucket truck at the end of the parade tonight. The kids all had big smiles on their faces.
