Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On November 21, 2008 at approximately 4:25 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department were on routine patrol in the area of Fairground Drive and observed two (2) subjects located in a parked vehicle. The officers approached the vehicle and detected the scent of suspected marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The suspects were checked and the below listed suspect was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was removed from the vehicle and as he was removed attempted to hide a bag. The bag was recovered and found to contain a quantity of suspected marijuana.

ARRESTED: Eric Lamont James, 30 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Possession of marijuana
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800042897

On November 22, 2008 at approximately 4:08 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Super Giant food store for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, the officers were advised by store employees that the below listed suspects had been observed attempting to take food from the store without making any attempts at payment. The food items were recovered.

DISPOSITION: Both subjects released to their guardians CC # 200800043011

On November 23, 2008 at approximately 12:12 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Walmart Department Store for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, the officers were advised by store security that the below listed suspect had been observed by employees taking property from the store without making any attempts at making payment. The items were recovered and returned to the store.

ARRESTED: 17 year old juvenile Sharptown, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)

DISPOSITION: Released to parent CC # 200800043091

On November 23, 2008 at approximately 3:00 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Super Fresh food store for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, the officers were advised by store employees that the below listed suspect had been observed by employees attempting to take property from the store without making any attempts at making payment. The property was recovered and returned to the store.
