  2. Good luck with your pooch. If you haven't already, look into microchipping for bad things like this in the future-it isn't as expensive as you may think.

  3. My fantasy football team won't be scoring any points (again) today so I might as well help. My dog is an adopted pooch-we did AVID microchip from vet for around $40 for chip and injection-there is a $25 or so lifetime of dog registration fee with AVID. It is not a dog "LoJack" (you can't trace him running around town) but if found animal shelters/humane societies will be able to scan him (like groceries at the store) and call you ASAP-also nobody else will be able to say IT IS REALLY THEIR DOG. Well worth the investment..Good luck.

  5. Austin is still missing!! I can't imagine he's out there on his own. I'm starting to wonder if someone wanted a new dog and has taken him in. But his owner is looking everyday, and missing him terribly!! Joe if you could re post this again it would be greatly appreciated. He is the sweetest dog. But is scared of his own shadow thanks to his previous owners. It breaks my heart to wonder what he is going through now. I'm sure he misses Angela and the safety he felt with her!

  12. If he was a very friendly dog it's possible that someone took him in. I'm right near your neighborhood and haven't seen any dogs like him running around. Have you checked under the overhead bridge to see if the homeless people took him as a pet?

  13. Angela,I hope you find him soon!Even if he is timid,he may be friendly enough that someone is feeding him close to your home.

  14. Check local animal shelter in person!

Our dog got lost a couple of years ago. We called the S.P.C.A. with hs description. They said they didn't have any dogs fitting his description. We were desperate and went to check anyway. He had been there for 2 days. The lady said the were too busy to go check everytime someone called about a lost pet. She "just didn't remember seeing him." To be fair most of the workers at this shelter were volunteers and theywere VERY busy taing care of lots of cats & dogs.

  15. We had a cat when I was young it was gone so long we thought it got hit by a car for sure. He showed up on our doorstep about two months later with a new collar. He might be eating good and be nice and warm, hope you get him back safe and sound. If I see him I'd call anytime day or night. You might want to try and put a picture at every vet's office, I know I always look when I'm waiting there. I love my pooches and I feel your pain.

  16. Please take the time to actually GO to the Humane Society to see with your own eyes if your dog is there. Their system apparently isn't very "stray" or LOST DOG friendly, and sometimes a family pet who gets lost somehow gets mixed up with those on death row.
GO THERE. SEE FOR YOURSELF. Good Luck.
BTW, Did you get the dog (you said he was a "rescue" from the spca? Don't they automatically microchip them before they can go to their new home? Just a thought....

  17. Austin was seen today in the area of Healing Hands. By the time Angela got there, he had taken off again. We've realized we need to broaden our search for him. Please be on the look out for him. And call right away so we can get there asap. 443-614-1451 He'll run away as soon as you approach him or call his name. So if you can just keep your eye on him until we get there. Thanks so much!!!

  18. I do not want to get your hopes up, but tonight a dog ran out in front of us as we drove on Ward Street (I think that is the name of the street - the one that runs in front of the Arby's when one is trying to get to Route 50). It was about 8:00 PM, and went behind Arby's towards Chesapeake Utility. I did notice the color of the dog was very close to the color in the picture and I did notice a collar. I am sorry I don't have more detail but it happend so fast. I hope you find him.
