We are well on our way to easily breaking a record day today on Salisbury News. You can make all the phone calls you want, there's nothing better than having people stop by in the thousands and get their accurate political information right here on Salisbury News. Boy, I'll bet Andy Harris is really pleased he worked with Salisbury News to get his message out.
Blogs are certainly the future, unless your like Duvall where you only get a hundred hits a day. I can't wait until the Salisbury Elections come about. What's Comegys going to do? Hey, won't that be funny to watch Duvall support Gary Comegys just because Duvall hates me so much. Kind of like when he supported Andy Harris until Andy chose to use Salisbury News to spread his message.
Rumor on the street today Folks is, Brad Gillis is going to also throw in his hat into the Mayoral Race. Heck, I've even been getting e-mails and telephone calls from Mike Dunn, of all people. He wanted to meet with me one on one and I told him I wasn't interested.
The Mayor's Office is desperately trying to get through to me because they know that without Salisbury News they don't have a chance. Too bad, too sad.

ReplyDeleteShouldn't all candidates get a fair shake? Since this is an "unbiased" site? Let's see an answer to that!
Mike Dunn is calling? He is a class A jerk. I would love to know who he is supporting for mayor so I can vote against them. Sounds like the rats have figured out who the big gun is who is going to run for mayor, and are trying to find a way to begin a negative campaign. Whatever happens in the national elections, we all need to understand that local elections are non-partisan and to vote for the candidate with the most knowledge and integrity, two things sorely lacking in the current administration.
ReplyDeleteFrank Kratovil NEVER sent one single message. If he had, it would have been published. That being said, I have produced informatiojn for Kratovil and I have covered events Frank was supposed to attend. However, he never showed up, remember. Bite on that one for a while.
ReplyDeleteCry Babies For Kratovil.
Mike Dunn calling--a sure sign that he continues to think of himself as a 'player'....he is a jerk. Anyone desperate enough to enlist Mikey as a supporter, is questionable, to say the least.
ReplyDeleteWe saw plenty enough of Mikey in years past! We don't want anything he has to offer now.
Good job, Joe, shut him down!
"Rumor on the street today Folks is, Brad Gillis is going to also throw in his hat into the Mayoral Race."
ReplyDeleteis this a big deal? perhaps a 'young gun' would be a good thing for Salisbury.
I guess if Obama can run for President of the United States, Brad Gillis is as qualified to run for mayor!
ReplyDeleteBrad Gillis? The same Brad Gillis that works for Brent Miller, who I believe is married to Amy Gillis, who is the daughter of Palmer Gillis? The same Palmer Gillis that will own the new Station 16 when the city defaults on the lease.
ReplyDeleteJust what this city needs more developer bullshit.
You must be working out at the Main St. Gym because your counter punches are well placed and hitting target. Keep looking out for our community.
ReplyDeleteBrad.... are you kidding me? I know people have plenty of pictures of this kid doing questionable things that will surpass any elected official ever.
ReplyDeleteIf Gillis is running for mayor, watch out! We don't need another person connected to development, taking advantage of city taxes to line their pockets. Imagine the sweet annexation deals his clients will get!
ReplyDeleteAlso consider this: He has less experience managing people than Obama. The only thing that he can run is his M3. He ran that thing off the road a night of drinking!
yeah, ive got, not just pictures of brad, but video of him doin sum crazy shit..i hope he runs. this'll be fun
ReplyDeleteAlready the backlash begins against an ambitious young person who wants to give back to his community and help lead. First Ryan Ewalt, now Brad. You stay classy Salisbury, let's see what your city looks like in a few years when you've scared off the few remaining young people who stay around here.
ReplyDeleteWould Brad Gillis, as mayor, make Doug Church the first wife of Salisbury?
ReplyDeleteGillis n Gilkerson own half a salisbury now. Def. a conflict of intrest..
ReplyDeleteThats like the fox tending the hen house isnt it? I cant blame him for wanting lower taxes n such for all their properties.....but there just isnt enough citisens to carry that tax burden!
FFS...isnt anybody decent going to run? Somebody that really gives a shit about this city!!
We dont want history to repeat itself.
ReplyDeleteanon 1:49 - Brent Miller is not married to Amy Gillis. Get your facts straight.
ReplyDeleteAnd why is it a big deal that Palmer Gillis develops properties then sells them to people who want to be commercial property investors? Sounds like alot of people are hating the fact that some people choose to make something of themselves and become prosperous. Give the man a break - Palmer is a hell of a nice guy.
Palmer Gillis's a great guy.
ReplyDeleteBrad as mayor? Nope. No how. No way.
No one said anything about Palmer other than he'll soon own Station 16, the $10 MILLION dollar Fire Taj Mahal when the city defaults on the lease. The way things are going financially in the city everything leased will be repoed because we have a book keeper (bad one) as the CFO, a mayor that can't balance a checkbook and a council that has proven they are poor financial planners in their personal lives, that don't make solid decisions on how to spend taxpayer dollars when they can't make solid decisions for their own finances?
ReplyDeleteI concur, Palmer Gillis is a helluva guy. What does that have to do with Brad?
Joe,
ReplyDeleteI read this blog every day. Daily Times website is a mess. I get more relevant news from this site. On this patriotic day, I wanted to say thank you. The founding fathers would be somewhat proud of this website. It is a great exchange of ideas, thoughts, opinions, etc. But, I would return Mike Dunn's call. Or anyone else for that matter. I have seen this blog evolve. You are delving a bit more into stories. Your not as much as a puppet as you were for other people's agendas. You are choosing what to post and what not to post more responsibly. I would love to see "fair and balanced" here it would be great. Just a little input. Thanks for the hard work. One day you must write about behind the scenes at SBY News. I don't know how you do it.
