Its Not Even Halloween & Our Federal Government Is Trying To Scare Us To Death!

The Bailout should be renamed, "Bullshit."

Leave it to our very own Federal Government to once again attempt to scare the living crap out of every American with the sky is falling.

Think about this in simple terms Folks. Our President has come to us, (OUT OF NOWHERE) and said, we need $700 billion. OK, just how long was this problem going on that all of a sudden out of nowhere we need more money than any other financial crisis in the history of America?

That being said, can YOU really trust those people running our Country if they HID this for so long? They can't deny it was hidden. So now we're supposed to give up $700 billion to the same people that lied to us with a cover up?

Again, I say, let the chips fall where they may. Let's hit rock bottom, deal with the pain and start enforcing these regulations so it doesn't happen again. This goes for our local government as well.

  1. Like I've said before, why should we give a bad loan to people who have given bad loans? It doesn't make sense or dollars.

Wall Street reduced lending standards to reach more people (mostly low income minorities) so that they could lend more money and make more profit. The government (all, both houses, both parties)) accepted this and reduced regulation so they could have a win, win. They could get more voters into houses, they could make more money. Now that this backfired and the people can't pay the bill, every wants to cry foul. Help me, help me! Well you don't need any more money. You couldn't play well with what you had! Now go to your room!

That's what we should be doing. Voting all the current politicians out of office becuase they all had their own part in this mess. We need to replace them with everyday Joes and Janes who knows what it feels like to work hard. What it feels like to keep withing a budget. What it means like to actually have morales and rules that you live by. I and most of you, don't ask all of our neighbors and family members how we should think or act. This is what politicians do. They are only interested in staying in office.

Please, keep on your reps and tell them not to vote for any relief. Just say no!

  2. I haven't trusted our government for years. Screw the bailout; off with their heads! We all know the bailout is going to line the pockets of the greedy ba$tards$ who got us into this mess anyway.

  5. Joe, A question for you or one of the smart blog readers. In a percentage format, What is the loss as compared to the "Great Depression"? Somehow to me a figure like $700,000,000,000.00 is a bit steep to grasp. And NO I'm not for "the loan", "the bailout" or "the (can't type in what I really feel)"

  6. Why can't Congress focus on helping the people in foreclosure to keep their homes and paying their mortgages by reducing the interest, the monthly payment and length of the loan so the homeowners can remain homeowners and pay the banks instead of taxpayers footing the bill? Legislators have to complicate the process so that they can slip unnecessary pork hidden in the mountain of paper.

  7. where were these big drawn out meetings and public imput when we started putting trillions of dollars of tax payer money into a war to "save" another country. why is it so difficult to take care of our own people, yet so easy to spend our money elsewhere!
