The Ocean City Police Department will be conducting a three hour, “Gang Recognition/Identification” training seminar on October 23 & 24, 2008, at the Ocean City Public Safety Building Training Room.
The training will be offered twice daily starting:
October 23 & 24, 2008
1 pm to 4pm
or
6pm to 9pm

6501 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, Maryland
The seminar will be conducted by recently retired TFC Greg Kies of the Maryland State Police Homeland Security Investigative Division, Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center.
The training will cover the following: Identification of gang members, active gangs (outlaw motorcycle, West Coast, Latin groups and Eastern European/Russian gangs) in the Delmarva and surrounding areas.
The seminar will include identification of gang members, gang recruitment, organized gang related agendas and common gang criminal activities.
The OCPD’s proactive community based training initiatives are the best form of crime prevention by keeping citizens well informed of illegal activities in their community.
This training seminar was previously offered this past July 2008. By citizen request we are making this training available to all Ocean City citizen and business community members who were unable to attend.
