Sunday's Daily Times

"HEY YOU: Who's your next mayor?
August 31, 2008

The Mayoral election isn't until April 7, 2009 but a buzz has already started about who is going to run. Mayor Barrie Parsons Tilghman has not officially stated she will resign, but it is rumored she is seeking a replacement."

Since when is it the Mayor's job to find a replacement? It just goes to show you the connection between the Daily Times and Barrie Tilghman.

UPDATE: Because of the attention from Salisbury News, the Daily Timess has now added this INACURATE news.

"According to community advocate Jim Ireton's website, he's seriously considering running. It has also been mentioned that council members Debbie Cambell and Gary Comegys could campaign. Born and bread Salisburian Ryan Ewalt, who recently returned to his hometown after college, thinks being a neutral representative of the people could make him a good candidate."

Ryan Ewalt claims he's NOT going to run for Mayor. He could be lying, I don't know. Debbie Campbell has absolutely NO INTEREST in running for Mayor. Jim Ireton and Debbie Campbell are simply too close to allow that to happen. Two out of three are some pretty screwed up odds Laura! Then again, we are talking about the Daily Times.

  9. The Times never gets it right at all. I am sure there will be some others who will throw their hats in the ring. Need to wait for a few weeks to see who they are.
